8 months. Ditched the wax around month 2 or so and let them do their own thing. Still have 2 sections that are totally undreaded, but most of the loose stuff you see at the bottom is dreaded awesomelly at the roots - just working its way to the end slowly. Pic is at 6 months. I need some new ones.

This was my dreads at about 9 months old.
They are now going to be 11 months old in a few days, and I shall be taking updated photos on the 1 year anniversary in June =]

    Your dreadlocks can legally vote!

How do you keep them from falling in the toilet when you poo?

Thanks! I try to keep em lookin their best.
    Here's a before picture.

Pretty straight, kinda wavy. Though it would always want to knot up easily I had to constantly keep it brushed out.
Took 14 and a half hours of back combing though to get my hair fully started dreading.

Thanks, DreadDollie :p Glad you like.

HappyHippie, when did yours start becoming rope-like and smooth in the back? I kinda have an obsession with the back portion of my locks, because they become all flat and kinky and lumpy. I eventually want them to mature completely and smooth out like yours and so many other nice set of locks I see.

Here's mine updated for the 6 month mark, taken this evening.

nice dreads villi. lovin the colours soooo much!

I used to palm roll them when they were wet. I guess that's why they look "rope-like".
