and my town puts the bland in suburbland. folks too old to be yuppies acting like the old riche. where I live is like... where the Sopranos was based. Ohio is pretty at least.
Yeah I do lol .. I am wondering about the bridge pic though, its never that empty haha, always jammed.
Yeah, parts are. its hard for me to even go back there now. the town i grew up in is really growing and being infested with walgreens and gigantic churches. the churches even have their own restaurants and skate parks! seriously.. wtf. I do miss the countryside and the deciduous forests.. and the smell of the leaves after they fall and start to decompose.. its excellent.
Yeah, that's Mt. Hood. I live in Hillsboro, which is between Portland and the beach. Mt. St. Helens is about 50 miles north
Matt, those are beautiful pics of rochester. i used to live outside of rochester, in fairport, when i was a kid. new york will always have a place in my heart.
Yup, it was sweet. I liked it alot. I remember crossing the canal daily.. when i was a kid i would say "hi canal, bye canal!!!!!" every time we crossed it. weird. I would like to go back and visit some day. I did a while ago (years..) and it was beautiful, just like I remembered. they had an awesssommmeee toy shop in fairport
cool, i like the 2nd one. i didnt know you grew up in NYC. i can see that... you've got that vibe about ya..
Wow, I don't know what kind of Bostonians you've been meeting. lol...I thought we were all uppity pricks.
Ohio misses you too. not much is uglier than a walgreens, except maybe a new church (though I like old ones).
id have to agree there. and starbucks seem to be the acne of growing US cities. they pop up fucking everywhere once a town starts to expand.. the new churches really freak me out. they're like, private clubs. and they want you to spend a bunch of money there. they have GIFT SHOPS! talk about being led astray. not that i do the whole church thing, but damn, i feel bad for those kids being brainwashed into morality and materialism.
Your home town looks a lot like spooner's hometown. Wait, are you the same person? The Creek: The Thames: Coby on the boardwalk:
