and my town puts the bland in suburbland. folks too old to be yuppies acting like the old riche. where I live is like... where the Sopranos was based.

Yeah, parts are. its hard for me to even go back there now. the town i grew up in is really growing and being infested with walgreens and gigantic churches. the churches even have their own restaurants and skate parks! seriously.. wtf.

I do miss the countryside and the deciduous forests.. and the smell of the leaves after they fall and start to decompose.. its excellent.

Yeah, that's Mt. Hood. I live in Hillsboro, which is between Portland and the beach.

Mt. St. Helens is about 50 miles north

    Ohio misses you too.

not much is uglier than a walgreens, except maybe a new church (though I like old ones).

id have to agree there. and starbucks seem to be the acne of growing US cities. they pop up fucking everywhere once a town starts to expand..

the new churches really freak me out. they're like, private clubs. and they want you to spend a bunch of money there. they have GIFT SHOPS!
talk about being led astray. not that i do the whole church thing, but damn, i feel bad for those kids being brainwashed into morality and materialism.

Your home town looks a lot like spooner's hometown. Wait, are you the same person?
