''Post A Picture of Anything'' Thread

This one of Repin came by in my history classes. Not an art class, but because it gave such a striking expression of poor people working back then (in Russia).

 

I love that one too. Just look at their faces

Basically, Ilya Repin was a brilliant artist.

Those cossacks are awesome too! Especially when you can appreciate striking facial expressions

Well, it seems fixed now. But after I made post #774 I couldn't load this page at all anymore (and I guessed neither could anybody else) So I thought if I can't edit my post and fix it I let you know. Now it appears I can load it and so I edited it myself

 

Page wouldn't load for me either...

 

Pretty sure it was my first pic of Sadko (the one about the underwater kingdom). It was too huge.

 

There are so many fascianting details in his paintings, that I don't know where to look first.
I can't think of any other painter whose paintings strike me that much, except maybe for Nikolai Ge (lots of religious motives ijn his work).
