Maybe there were counter-protesters because there were thousands of rapes in Germany that didn’t involve refugee’s.

Gang rape is a terrible thing but there are gang rapes committed all over Germany every day, and to single out this one event
because the parties involved were Syrian refugees is wrong.

 

One of the underling consequences is that immigrant and refugees are raping women and get away with it while when a German CITIZEN rapes a woman they don't get away with it.

Not every issue is clear cut black and white, this just shows your way of thinking, instead of contemplating the underlining issues of the protest you jump straight on the defense that there's evil racist Nazis protesters and they need to be banned. That wouldn't be your statement had the subject been about the treatment of Europeans against your own people though, would it?

i.e, Seven dark skinned Syrian refugees (and one German national) gang raped a blonde fair-skinned, innocent 18 year old girl (at the height of her flower)
in the beautiful, crime-free, idyllic German City of Freiburg.

Instead of picking on Syrian refugees, why not protest that German mother who was jailed for pimping out her 8 year old son (now 10 years old) to a pedophile ring
operating out of the City of Staufen (near Freiburg)

Don't try and sway the subject and defer to other current events instead of the task at hand. Also factor in the media, too. What do you think made the bigger headline? Which sided media outlet focussed more on a race issue?
