Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat is probably the tastiest beer I've ever had.

    Labatt 50, that shit's classic.

I used to keep all the bottles of different fifths of liquor I had tried on some shelves. I had some good ones in that collection.

Nah porky, I've had a few buds in my time. But I now drink responsibly, which involves NO budweiser related products.

I would totally drink a case of budweiser. Or even bud light. If it was stolen ;)

Why's that? Because it's shitty beer full of chemicals?

^^^haha, i guess i pretty much abstain from budweiser products as well. from now on, i'll make it a point to.

lunarverse, you can identify the liquor just by the cap? i thought they were mostly solid colors with nothing noteworthy on them (the plastic twist off caps)

labatt 50 is the best labatt.

TNS, ALL lenny's are great. my favorite is probably the honey weiss, but the red is very good, and so is the creamy dark (and i usually don't like dark beers)

Have you ever tried Molson Export? That shit's damn good.

No, I actually kept the whole bottle. These were big shelves, build into the wall of my old apartment, they went right up to the ceiling. Back then I was drinking a fifth every day or two, I'd always get something different, so I had a lot of bottles. They were cool to look at.

Friends would stop by and it'd be a good conversation piece, until they realised how many there were.

^^hehe. glad (it seems) that you're over that habit.

don't think i've ever had molson Export. molson is good though. in the collection you can see molson XXX, and three molson leafs for molson, light, and golden.

i just brewed a pale ale awhile ago. *pic coming soon*

I think I've tried Honey Weiss, but Sunset Wheat is still my favorite. I LOVE wheat beers. I absolutely despise every dark beer I've tried though.

ya know what is surprisingly good for a wheat beer? BL Golden Wheat.. now don't get me wrong.. it's definitely no Blue Moon or Spotted Cow.. which are the two best belgian wheat beers out there.. oh and don't forget the orange.. wheat beers just don't taste the same without a orange slice :2thumbsup:

I tried Golden Wheat, pretty excited for it too because I like wheat beers. The bar refused my attempt to return it for something that I could drink. I can't drink Blue Moon either.

I'm glad for you guys who do like it but:puke:

i got a bud light wheat once (see the cap). it was alright. blue moon is way better. never had or heard of spotted cow. i don't really need the orange in my blue moon / shock top though, i prefer it without.

TNS, i was waiting for you to mention that beer. i've yet to try it, or see it, but i haven't looked too hard.

Jen, you told me that before. your cat must be super handsome! ;)

Hoegaarden is more 'spicy' which i find makes it less drinkable

nice collection. some of my favorites that i see are:
09 Sierra Nevada Bigfoot (i've got nearly a case aging in my closet)
Flying Dog (Snake Dog IPA is a staple in my fridge)
    Chimay (nice!)
    Ommegang
    Allagash
    Brooklyn (East India Pale Ale?)

looks like you've had Petrus too. which one was it and what did you think? i've had their Oud Bruin and it was fantastic.

do you ever do beer review/ratings, Porkstock? i have about 200 reviews on Beeradvocate.com

also, you might want to invest in a bottle capper. it's like 15 bucks and you can reuse old bottles. the screw on plastic bottles can have slow leaks, draining you of your carbonation. also, you just finished the pale ale and it's already in the fridge? did you carbonate it at all? it looks good though. what was your general recipe?
