rarely, but it is nice sometimes, esp. when its cold out. i think it tends to smooth out the flavor - sometimes a little too much, to the point where its not quite as good. kind of like the opposite of beer, where if you get it too cold it tends to dull the richness of the flavors...if its cheap beer i want it ice cold, if its quality beer i usually want it just nicely chilled usually sake i'll usually consume either cold or (more often) just a little under room temperature.
Thats Canada for you. alcohol is more expensive uphere, our government taxes the crap ou of it. A $5 colt is pretty good though, they're more $7-8 where i live. i tend to buy imported english beers. they're usually $12 for 4 pack of tall boys.
Stay away from that cheap rum. IMO, the best bang for your drinking buck comes from your rotgut vodkas. Don't go for the absolute bottom line on price, though. Cheapest vodkas will give you a hangover like you read about. Go up next level above the dirt-lowest, like Popov. Most places its about $.20/pt above the lowest priced vodkas, and well worth it. And don't drink and drive...you might run over a stoner, and spill your drink.
