Police Kill Naked Man Eating Another Naked Man's Face

as a lone cop, do you really want to get within reach of someone who is in the process of eating another person?

i think the cops response was correct under these circumstances.

Personally, if I had attacked someone and eaten their face, I'd rather be shot dead than to come down and live with that knowledge.

To clarify (at first you had me thinking people had turned to recreational scopolomine) this is used to drug OTHERS, not intentionally-it's one of the datura chemicals.

But seriously, this is pretty messed up. If I would have to guess, maybe the guy was on PCP or some kind of bath salt binge...plus some serious mental issues. ...Rabies??

Yeah my bad, I didn't get to go through all the pages of this thread yet. But I read the huffington post article last night..and from the comments, no one really seemed like they knew why the man did this. However, now i know. :sunny:

 

Actually the Tampa paper didn't mention it, but his wife divorced him because if escalating violence and paranoia. He was probably going into some mental meltdown for some time before he ended up living under the overpass. Add a little of the wrong substance to that and ...

 

Yah I'm thinking it's a disassociative, I would bet it's mxe which is similar to PCP. Most bath salts suppress appetite, but MXE can cause mania, depersonalization, delusions of grandeur and is quite potent.

 

Maybe I missed something, but what happened to the man whose face was being eaten (yuk!) Did he survive? What kind of condition is the poor man in?

 

Ok, I just saw a news report that answers my question-this report said that the police think it was a form of LSD (and sometimes cocaine) that causes this condition (I'm not going to debate all that, just passing that on).

This was in the article:

Eugene's victim, who hasn't been identified, is in the hospital in "extremely critical condition," the Herald reported. "Much of his face was gone, the skin ripped away, the nose bitten and the eyes gouged. What remained was his goatee and little else."

 

Last I heard was on yesterday's news and he was still in critical condition at Jackson hospital with 75% of his face missing. One report said his eyes were missing or damaged. If he is coherent of any of this he may not want to survive.
