I will continue to use this thread as a visual aid to help prove that Necroposting CAN be useful.. Now, a thread that says, "the weather was so shitty here today" would be a useless necropost.
Its not that theyre better, but why post redundant threads? Thats why we have a search forum option at the top of the page. I did a search for necropost and picked this thread. I also got some other opinions along with resurrecting this thread.
yes, but there was a recent rash of threads being brought back up to say "yes, I agree".... or going back to people asking for relationship or situational advice from 8 months ago, when the situation is obviously non-existent now
I can't really see any harm in someone reviving old threads. Perhaps others might have missed it early on, particularly new members. And nobody is forcing anybody to click on a particular thread now. Are they? I say live and let live and stop moaning about what other members want to do. Cheers!
O.K. roll. So I haven't been on the forum all that long. So what? And I think my point is a fair one. Isn't it?
It doesn't bother me. I mean surely necro-posting is better than perpetually creating new threads, even though you are just going over the same old stuff.
the thing that confuses me is that this thread was posted less than 3 months after the site rebooted. i don't think it was possible to post in any truly old threads at that point. although this was also when there were 30 new threads every day just in random thoughts, so i guess "old" is kind of relative.
no it is not a fair point because you don't have any posts in those 10 year old dreads and we all do not to mention that members who have passed away are also have Post in those threads and you guys don't know who they are and we don't need to see you replying to dead people it is just not necessary make a new f****** thread
It is a mistake to Discount all of the members on this site in favour of a handful necro posters but do what the f*** you want you're going to anyways
