I don't agree I had no male figure in the house and I turned out just fine. no male figure is better than a negative male influence imo

You're a girl. Imagine being raised by a guy(a good Dad), with no real, personal, female role model or authority figure, and tell me you'd be the same person.

I do too. The child doesn't deserve that. He didnt' ask for it. These parents had the children and now they're skipping out on their responsibility and using their kid for income/chor relief. I have, and will continue to, call CPS on these fucks whether they think they're my friends or not. I'm a firm believer of "no child left behind" just in a different way. I'd really like to shoot these fucking people, but calling CPS leaves me the freedom to repeat as necessary.

I was raised by just my Dad and brother. I turned out more aggressive then alot of other women. I dont cry over physical pain, and i shove my emotional pain inside which comes out side ways... in a way i think it messed me up, but either was im grateful

see I am the oposite I was just raised by my mom and I am a wimp, have no self discipline, very little self control, am extremley spoiled and am extremley defiant against any authority. so I guess missing either parent has its consequences.

I was raised by 2 loving parents, happily married until my dad passed away. A regular "Leave It To Beaver" type of home. I still became an alcoholic and drug addict.

I guess I was. I do agree w/ the fact that no role model is better than a bad role model of any sort.

Thank you Lynsey for what you said earlier. Honestly I am okay with it. Interval voiced her opinion and she's entitled to that. If she thinks I am an ass than in her eyes I am.

I don't wish her harm. I wish that she'd find light and truth and take a different journey. One that would bring her contentment. Enabling her and helping her dig herself out of her ditch only makes the problem (s) worse for her. People have tried to help her many of times. She doesn't want the help or the constructive critisism. The only way to make her face this is is to let her see it for what it is on her own, a very large problem.

You were right Lynsey about her husband getting couseling and making an effort and how what she is doing isn't helping any. If I was trying to change my ass and my husband was trying to fuck up somemore there would be a war going on right under my roof. That is just total bullshit. But anyhoot, they have to live with each other.
