the largest DLP i know of is 65 inch which is also made by sony imo any DLP bigger than 65 will be blurry as hell unless it used 1080i refresh rates, which is very rare even now, haha if that means anything to u of course oh and when i'm talking about size, i'm talking about available to the public, there are bigger, but only comercially used. and anyways, WTF kind of size is 78inch?
First off 1080i is not(Contrary to myth) superior to 720p, it may have more lines but suffers the disadvantages of interlacing. Actualy standard 720p may be superior to the 1080i in larger sizes, because the full frame progressive scanning dun chop up the frame, leading to a greator temporal resolution. While 1080i has better spatial resolution. For that sized tv I would say wait a few years for 1080p to become publicly available. Dont talk to me like im an idiot. Agreed, 78 inches is a fucked up size, but who knows maybe he bought a commercialy used tv off of ebay?
didnt mean anything by the "if that means anything to you" comment, i'm pretty sure u and me are the only ones with the knowledge on TV's here anyways lol just didnt know u knew anything but contrary to your opinion, imo 1080i on a 50" DLP looks better than 720p, thats just what i find looking at many different TV's, brands and sizes as well, i was getting mixed up with interlaced and progressive before, my bad
78 inches? Why do you need that much? haha Yeah man, get a Nintendo or Super Nintendo or a Genesis...Duck Hunt for hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooouuuuuuurrrrrrssssssssss
Fuck 78 inches. Price to value ratio, it's probably not worth whatever was paid for the damn thing. We have a '63 inch Philips Hi Def that works fine... Our rooms are all weird because we have old steam radiators, so that was the biggest thing we could fit in the living room because we have a fireplace and whatnot. We have too many damn TVs anyway... like seven or something. Hell, I should give a few to some families in Ethiopia. We don't need that many damn tvs. Everyone keeps dying in my family so we keep getting all of their shit we don't need. We have a Navigator that nobody even drives because it costs too much to fill the damn thing up.
I wonder if its one of those home movie theatre projector things, cause I have had another one of my friends call a projector a tv. But I don't think you can buy the high definition projectors yet... :-/
