I saw a headline on MSN earlier today that read, "Planking leads to death."

I didn't really care enough to read the article, but I thought it sounded like something pretty hardcore. I'm pretty disappointed to learn its not some crazy new extreme sport or even an intense sexual position. Although I guess it could be a sex position. That could be a pretty interesting way to die..

It's not that amusing to me, except that guy that got arrested for trying to plank a cop car. I'd totally do that.

The police statements about this super dangerous new fad, that "seems harmless but can turn lethal with no warning! RAWR!" really bothers me. Like, so what? Anything can turn deadly, like lying down on 7 floor drops for photos. Doesn't mean that "planking" is some sort of basis for a scare tactic, it's even lamer than telling you that acid can "turn deadly". No, doing stupid things turns deadly, taking acid and planking do NOT turn deadly, you scare mongering nanny state fuckwads.

Just for this I want to go take a picture on a 7 story drop. But I'll do it right: hanging from my toes. Wonder if I could get the next big facebook fad, and parental scare, started....
