As a breeder I really wish that people would know a breed before they comment on it. Volunteer, research and spend time with a breed before you knock it. I wish that they would know what responsible breeders do to ensure not only the breed is kept to standards but that lines are bred for temperament as well. That generations of traits are considered before you breed dogs and you only breed to bring out traits that further the lines that are standard. That screening for adoption is thorough and that breeders are not puppy farms nor backyard breeders. Breeders do not breed for aggressiveness and they screen out owners who want that. After near 30 years I have seen many horrific owners and one dog that temperament wise was not able to be saved. Owners are the issue, not breeds. This show is actually very accurate with regards to training and rescue and rehab for the animals. I also feel that to have those who need a second chance just like those dogs do involved is not only a service but also a forward thinking message that more business need to have.
