You're just mad that you came off as a fool for saying heoin addicts only need 4 mg. The guy i get them from, takes 3 8mgs a day. That's what he was prescribed and told to do. He was never taking heroin. Fucking idiot.

You are the one resorting to personal attacks. A childish decision, the easy one to make... one that requires no thinking.
The consequence is nil this time.
But, this thread is proof of another bad decision you make, and continue to make... I hope the consequence stays nil until it is too late.

    There it is.

Do I steal to support a habit?
Do I go hungry to support a habit?
Are the people I care about impacted negatively?
    No.
All questions that factor in to my mind, not to mention the others...

    You're fucked up, man.

These guys have a pretty damn good idea of what they're talking about, so stop lashing out at every chance you get... just listen or respond appropriately. Think for a few minutes before hitting "reply" and keyboard bashing.

Saying "STFU go die u junkie fuckup Reetard u guys are stoopid suboxone getz u higher than jesus u guys shuld all die ur all addicts and going to die!@#" is way too easy, and gets you nowhere.

    :hat:

    Ok... a few things.

Buprenorphine is both a partial agonist and a antagonist and thus, a complicated medication that doesn't effect everyone the same. How it effects a person is variable... depending on tolerance, length and severity of addiction, amount taken, length of time taken, etc... again, its complicated because of its complicated interaction with receptors.

Its generally agreed that as you go up to 8mg more is better, but as you go past 8mg, it begins to act and feel more like an antagonist... and this is often with heavier and more annoying side effects. Going up even higher proofs this, as it tends to have a ceiling usually around 32mg. Again this is variable person to person, it really depends on a lot of factors. Its often agreed that past 8mg less is considered more...

Somebody with a really heavy tolerance will need more than 8mg to be maitained, but often times once they are stabilized they are able to quickly taper down under 8mg... and once they do (assuming they are able to), they tend to agree that being under 8mg is actually better... its just at first they needed more to be stabilized.

For these people with high tolerances, buprenorphine does not usually make them high at all... it only maintans them and helps to keep cravings at bay because its effects as a partial agonist. It readily binds at the receptors, but doesn't activate them nearly as much as a full agonist (like oxy or heroin) would... so there's usually no high for somebody with a tolerance.

But it's different for people with little to no tolerance. They do often get high and for somebody with no tolerance, its actually a very pleasant, opiate like/antidepressant high.

The 8mg rule also doesn't necessarily apply to people with no prior opiate tolerance as well... again, its complicated. For somebody with no tolerance, 16mg might get them way more high than 8mg... sometimes not.

But here's the catch. With little tolerance, that much suboxone would likely make them very sick for a long time (or OD)... which makes a lot of this thread hard to believe... shit's just not adding up.

Also, if you're opiate naive... why the hell are you going to abuse and or use suboxone recreationally in the first place? It's a miracle drug... really. Why would you want to abuse it and build a permanent tolerance, effectively burning the one bridge out of an opiate addiction (or at minimum, a way to maitain during dry spells)? No other medications out there allow you to taper so effortlessly... definetly not methadone (ask anyone who's tried to get off methadone, its hell). It really is a miracle drug for a lot of people, even if they have to be on it for life.

Don't destroy such a wonderful thing... not only for yourself, but for others who really need it as well .

I just got on suboxone for the first time after using H again. I was shooting 4 grams of good H a week for about 3 months. 4 mg of suboxone got rid of my withdrawls. I am averaging 8mg of suboxone a day and this is my third week. About 2-4 hours after I take my suboxone I sometimes get a very mild nod and sometimes I get a slight energy boost like opiates normally do to me. I talked to my friend who's been on subs for 2 years and he said the mild nod will be gone soon and really there aren't really any other side effects.

Before I went to a 3 day detox I had bought some suboxone from someone and I took one the day after I had shot my last bit of H. Because I was not in full withdrawls yet, the naloxone in the suboxone kicked my withdrawls in 15 minutes after it dissolved on my tongue. Which is why I went to detox. I had several suboxone pills and a weeks worth of Buprenorphine tabs and was planning to detox myself, but because I started the subs too early I decided to not suffer and go to the detox where they give you other goodies so you pretty much just sleep.

My friend also mentioned that he gave his girlfriend less than 8 mg of suboxone and she has never done opiates and she was completely doped and really wasted. For those of us that have any kind of history or tolerance there is not much hope for a big suboxone buzz.

However - i do enjoy the mild nod I am getting every other night.

It stays in my system for 3 days easy. I ran out on tuesday and just refilled today and I was fine.

My friend also said when he has stopped taking the suboxone the physical withdrawls were not too bad, however the emotional ones were pretty severe.

I am grateful for the suboxone - it has been a good solution for me. The H withdrawls were not the worst I've ever had, but they were dragging on too long and I had to get back to work. This 3 month run I had was after 10 years of being completely clean. Once I started on the H, I surpassed my historical daily usage within a couple of weeks. Addiction is definitely progressive.

I'm ok now - but I must admit I am taunted by the idea of stopping the subs once in a while and switching to other opiates once in a while to get high. Not in the short term though because the doc I am seeing reserves the right to test me for all other drugs. So I'll just stick with the subs for now. beats withdrawls for sure - and I can get several weeks worth at a time if needed. They are not too strict..

    Thats all I know
    I'm definitely no expert.
I'm the guy who shot Nalbuphine (duh... - do not ever do that !!!)

Seems to me the above two posts may find use being sticky'd.
