That's fuckin stupid man. If you can afford to buy a dime everyday, why don't you just buy an ounce. It would save you a lot of money. I just never understood how people could smoke a gram a day. That not even enough for one session even if it's only one person. I've been smokin at least a 1/4oz of purp everyday for the past 3 months. haha Start buy in quantity, and it will certainly save tons of money in the long run.

 

Yeah, in retrospect, buying single grams is odd. Maybe she buys two ounces at a time and just rounded the 48 grams up to 50, but still two ounces is odd as a regular buy, it's like half way between an ounce and a quarter pound. The dynamics of cannabis-economics are rather strange indeed.

at school everyone buys dime bags, its a quick money makin, i sold 20 singles in a day. 200$. if i just sold the 20gs to one person, it would have been 125$.

and my girl can't do shit because she's 5 months pregnant. she was more pissed then i was about the whole situation.

i live in dartmouth. an ounce is 30g's. not mathmatically obviously, but you call anyone up looking for an ounce, you'll get 30 instead of 28. we don't sell in 1/4's or 1/2's or whatever.
usually, in 1g's, 3gs, 5gs, 10gs, etc. metric system man... you fools need to get on that lol.

 

If selling a 1/2, 1/4, etc., it's actually metric, it's just said in terms of ounces and grams for convenience. A 1/2 ounce is actually 14.0 grams, not 14.2. It's much easier to say, "can I get an ounce" than to say "can I get twenty-eight grams." They're both saying the same thing, just one's easier.

The common demoninations here are gram(1g), eighth(3.5g), quarter(7g), half(14g), ounce(28g), qp(112g/4oz), hp(224g/8oz), pound(448g/16oz).

 

yes i realize that. but if someone is looking to buy an ounce around here, it's 30'gs. last summer i was usually picking up ounces from them and everytime i got home and weighed it up it was 30.2 or higher.

you see, we'd from the big guy for $6 a gram, so we usually use 30,50,100, or what ever number evens out with no change, up to around a qp or a hp. The more you buy, the less you pay per gram. soon i can get it for $4 a gram, and it's bomb, i bought 5 for 20 the other day and it was the shit now i'm rambling. i've never bought a pound before, and i never asked my boy how much i can get it for.

so i do up dime bags for around school and the people who call me and only want 1-3. the rest i do in tinfoil or ziplocks or whatever when someone calls looking for more

 

Well of course our price varies inversely exponentially with amount, following the laws of supply and demand. Usually, when I buy an ounce it's approximately 30 grams as well, but I doubt that's the standard. I can't understand exactly what you are saying in the beggining of your second paragraph; is $6/g the amount for a single gram or the amount per gram for bulk purchases?

 

i never buy single grams, thats why i get the price. i can get 3 for 18, but i would just pay 3 for 20. i never pick up less then 10 though.

but i'd get that for somewhere between $250 and $300 depending on how much and what he has. last time he had 3 different types, so i got a little mixture(not in the same bag) and i payed $290 for it

I see what you're saying, though. Around here, the prices are already in increments of $5 or $10 so I guess that's not really necessary. The bud here is twice the price, though; but it is also the best buds on the continent.

Sorry for rez'ing this old thread but in your guys opinion do you think it's a good idea to own a scale? Do they come portable? I dunno, It's just I'm throwing down 40 bucks for an 8th and it doesn't look like it, of course it's not top notch (has a lot of stems in it, which I'm sure makes it heavier) for how much I smoke it seems like another 40 clams is gone ='( what's your take?
