It's hardly a claim to fame, but a couple of Pink Floydians went to my old school - The Perse, Cambridge :)

You live in Cambridge!?! Whoa, that's sweet! Do you ever see Syd walking around town? I've heard that if you go to Cambridge, you can easily spot him walking or riding his bicycle.

I may soon regret it but I'm going to confess to not knowing what Syd looks like. The only famous people I've seen around Cambridge are Stephen Hawking and Rory McGrath.

Here are some pictures of him. Be on the lookout! :)

[IMG]This one is somewhat recent... well, it might be 10 years old.

    [IMG]Syd in the 60s.

[IMG]This is from 2002, so this is basically what he looks like now.

[IMG]Be on the lookout for this man! ;)

But seriously, try and see if you can see Syd sometime. :)

Same here, Pink Floyd changed my life too. It started with me finding the tape of the wall, and popping it in my vcr. I'd say thats my favorite, or darkside.

Roger Waters made me a bass player (but Geezer Butler made me a better one).:p

The division bell is not their best work I dont believe. Though, it was decently an "out" of the music world..

The song High Hopes is brilliant, probably my favourite Pink Floyd song. But while it is on the Division Bell album, it does not make up for the not so good songs.

For some reason the album seems to be incredible synthesised.

I must confess, Division Bell is one of my all time favorite cd's. I'm a big fan of Wearing the Inside Out. I like the message in that song.

    Gilmore?

    Isnt he the new guy?lol

I prefer the early PF, went to rent the wall and wound up with Live @ Pompeii instead, so its always been my fave.

Hands up.. who has seen Floyd live? Its an impressive show, and I really enjoyed the Blimp in '94. As for performing arts, they have great uses for the budget! The strobe was also amazing, a bit overwhelming, but good Floyd is!
