Afraid of another persons bare feet? That's just silly. (Apologies to those who have that phobia). In fact, when I see someone else barefoot, I get jealous because they aren't afraid to show their feet. I fear someone seeing me with my shoes and socks off. I think it comes from my youth. My family was a shoe family. Only time shoes came off was for bed and showering. I don't know how I became afraid though. There has to be a memory associated with it. I think my subconcious is trying to block it from me.

 

Whatever you do, don't get in an auto accident. One of the first items of clothing the hospital staff removes are your shoes and socks!

I can understand where you are coming from, I too suffered from foot shyness for a long time. Never could I walk around barefoot anytime while at home, I could'nt even answer the door in my barefeet! Also when I would see others barefoot which were usually girls my own age, I wished that I too had the courage to leave my shoes and socks behind.

Thanks to a girlfriend I had years ago, I was able to get on the road to freeing myself from the embarrasement of being barefoot. Nevertheless it was an uphill climb and yet I was finally able to enjoy some of the fun activities that give me so much pleasure today.

 

Well, if you're looking to beat that phobia head-on, you've certianly come to the right place.

I'm glad so many other people share the same foot shyness feeling. I thought I was just crazy and paranoid.

I had a friend once. Who would cry if anyone showed their feet. Especially if they were within like... 5 feet of her.

And I never once understood it.

I wore a lot of socks around her, lol

 

Did she cry at the sight of her own feet too? Must've been tough to bathe...

 

I'm feeling the ring too, but something else caught my eye....that left ankle looks rather swollen, everything cool, man?

 

Yea, the ankle is fine. Maybe it's the way I'm resting my feet on the side of my computer bench. My feet have yet to give me problems.

That actually wasn't a camera. Never got the cam.....but we ARE getting one for christmas FOR SURE and we'll be getting it in late September! yey!!!!!!!!
THAT picture came from the web cam that I fought with for 3 hours yesterday to figure out how to work and get plugged in. We've had the damn thing for 2 years, and I just now figured it out. Technology is NOT my friend....
