I wanted a beer, but I took the picture during a break in the workday darnit!!

 

I can't help but feel a little tinge of envy about the place you work (or, at least, take a break)... I just have that artificially-lit ol' office... but at least a barefoot one, when the bigwigs are not there:

Barefoot desktop - literally.

Well, with the current little heat wave we have (day high temps around 30°C/86 F and high humidity), kicking off flip-flops under the desk has become an accepted option, as well as flip-flops being acceptable office shoes at the moment (worn by some males, as well).

Thanks, it's my backyard. I've got a "work from home" position that involves regular travel. The good side is that I dress for work exactly as you see me - t-shirt, shorts, bare feet. The down side is that it's a bit of an isolated environment. When things are busy, it's like working anywhere else. When it's slow, it's me and the four walls of the office.

I decided to take a few photos earlier this evening. My feet aren't as dirty in these photos as they were when I'd got in from town, but they're still pretty filthy.

They're not striped! They're hooped. They're horizontal and they go all the way around. It's a very important difference!



They're cushions that I'm planning to take with me to Kuwait to make my flat feel a bit more a home.
