Well, we're finally getting some half decent weather here, so I treated myself to a nice little stroll around the block. That, and since I'm nursing a slight hagober, the fresh air did me some good! Anyway, today's piccies:

Felt good to feel the sidewalks and pavement under my feet again! Peace!

There's only ONE thing you need if you want to live barefoot (apart from self-confidence): Tough soles! But the good news is: You don't have to worry about it! Your soles will adjust, they'll get tough as leather soon after you start going barefoot. It'll happen automatically... My own soles look different each day - depending on where I went, what I did. But you can always see how tough they are! I'll post some pics - to encourage you to stay bare!!!

That’s how my soles look if they’re reasonably clean! It’s an interesting picture: You can clearly see the protective layer of “living leather” (brownish color), the inevitable result of a life on bare soles – and the trademark of every true barefooter!

You won’t be surprised that the balls of my feet are calloused, but look at this picture: Even the area between the ball and the heel is almost entirely covered with “living leather”! With soles like this: Can you give me ONE good reason why I should wear shoes? I guess not…

My heels are EXTREMELY tough – which isn’t surprising, considering what they have to cope with whenever I leave the house!

Take a closer look – don’t feel shy! [IMG] Hardly any cracks, but the skin is extremely rough!

Can you imagine how many tiny thorns and splinters of wood or glass are embedded in-between those layers of living leather? Well, quite a few, I guess!

The last picture from yesterday’s collection… Believe me: These feet don’t need shoes!!! They take me everywhere without any additional protection!
