I have always been weak at the knees for thin men.
It is the sexiest, natural look- that lean-ness... Drool...
As for defending yourself, by allowing it into your consciousness you are sort of inviting it. Of course there are always those freak occurences but who is prepared for such things? I dont see how the dude who works out will do any better if a gun is against his forehead.
And getting beaten up if you dont want to run? Your body and your ego go home battered and bruised... but are you the person so lost you let out all your frustration through violence on random strangers? They want you to fight back and defend yourself so that their own ego is rectified. Dont give them that satisfaction. Take solace in the fact that you are not that fucked up.
By thinking about it you are
    a) Creating unnecessary stress for yourself and
    b) Creating the very thing that you fear happening
You are missing life by worrying about what could be...

    Is anyone attacking you now?

I hope Im getting this question right
sio Ill answer it from how I understand it...

are you a man if you cant defend yourself?
well your male but not very manly
defending yourself is nothing, But having the ability to deyou family that is your duty as a man.
but that doesnt mean you have to be brawny or big, or have weaponry, it means you have to have the bravery to stand up....thats the most important thing.

its all head, and very little body that makes a man a man I think.

its our work ethic, our sence of rpide, our ability to provide, and defend our family...
not really how mmuch beer we can drink or weights we can lift

but I think we as males must brag about these endevours as well...you know suits the whole alpha nature instinct

    I bench 240,. curl 180,
and can drink 32 beers before passing out

Damn, if you can curl 180 you should be able to bench more than 240 :)

I recently read an interesting quote from Sigmond Freud: "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity"

I wonder how he formulated that thought?

If you are a guy and think build is unimportant to women, you are fooling yourself. Take a good look at the cutest girls and check who they're with. Disproportionately it is with physically fit guys.

The reason why weightlifting has such a bad reputation is because so many fat guys lift weights thinking it will make them fit, but diet and cardiovascular exercise are equally important. So gyms are full of muscular guys lacking definition -- the stereotypical gym rat. The guys with thick arms and pot bellies.

Guys who are thin yet muscular pull the most women, and get the stares. The key is to burn body fat and gain muscle at the same time.

I was skinny in high school and I still am. I used to be right closed about it, almost ashamed. I used to wear a lot of layers of clothing to cover up how skinny I was. Now I just don't care. I guess that's a good thing considering a lot of girls find skinny men sexy. Lol I can see that by reading this thread. I've never really actually worked out in a gym in my life, but I live in the country and done my share of hard work. I'm not really scared of getting beat up because people have seen me fight and they think I'm crazy.
