philly folk fest???

Yes it is private property and there are no cops. You wont get in trouble with anything unless you do somethign really stupid or you are annoying to someone else, no one wants some drunk asshole falling into there tent because they cant walk correctly. Its like rules in moderation. Best thing you can do Is dont bring anything crazy the forst time and you will see what things are like when you get there. Thats the way it worked for me my first year. I didnt even show up with a tent. hahaa. Whatever you do its going to be a great time.

Yes, I am. I am a studio and touring drummer. I know all the people you mentioned. When you see Dave tell him you know Jim and let him know that I camp with Brian McNeil, and Randy and Megan Shupp.....He''ll know exactly who you are talking about. I used to live near Philly, Bristol actually, and I moved up to Massachusetts 2 years ago. I won't be going to fest this year, so tell them I said "hey".......

 

As long as you don't get bombed and act like an ass, there won't be a problem. I thought fest was going to be real strict my first time, but them I found out differently.....hehehehehehehehe!!!!! Just be respectful and mature, you won't get hasseled. If cigarrettes are your biggest fear, you'll be fine. Fest is twice as old and 4 times better than Bonnaroo.

For those of you that don't think there are any cops there, you are wrong. There are cops there and they do walk around the campsites. It is usually State Troopers, so watch the smart ass stuff. The staties don't give anyone a hard time unless they are being stupid. I didn't see any my first year, but have seen them every year since. They like to come in around the early afternoon and late nights.

 

Actually I don't have tickets yet, right now I'm trying to see who wants to go. Everyone's seeing if they can get off work and all that good stuff. I don't know where to stay, isn't it just a big area to camp in or are there a few smaller areas. If so where is the best place to stay. If I do go maybe everyone on the forums can meet up at a certain time somewhere.

 

NO your right there is jsut a big area to set up tents but certain people like myself come in graoup and create huge campsites i though you might have been staying with one. Yes I think it would be cool to meet all of you on the hipforums, like I said Everyone should know what I look like and where I am staying based on earlier posts and I would love for people to come and find me. I like meeting new people.

I saw the castle crazy and you guys having a halloween party but i looked for you and didnt see you. anyways, i was camping right across from poop and butts and right behind snaggle rock.... right down the street from the human bowling.

btw, did any of you do that? angie did like 5 times and i did once. that shit was crazy.

anyways, i had lots of fun.... LOVED that polka band.
