Sorry, the paper said it was PETA. and this was before we had the Internet avalible here, so there no other news source. The TV stations didn't carry the story. So the newspaper didn't check their facts!

As a vegetarian my response to people who attack me about PETA and their actions is always, don't judge all vegetarians by PETA. Most of us find them just as outrageous as people who eat meat find them.

That's somewhat off topic, but the general idea is that, yea, PETA are not your average animal rights activists. They're a bit over the top.

For starters peta dosent beleive in pets ......they think all pets should be freed .....so all u cat lovers who have donated money to them should realize they dont even want u to have the animal in the first place...
2nd. My father works for one of the biggest meat corporations out there....about 20 mins from the peta plant in norfolk,va....last year he told me that peta was charged with dumping dead animals into dumpsters.....i dunno about you but atleast what my father does feeds others (unlike peta who is just creating very unsanitary conditions)
3.The owner of peta herself has been quoted as saying"sometimes the only options for animals are to put them down" Ok well i thought u guys were in the buisness of saving animals not destroying them....
i think peta is bullshit .....hypocritical bullshit.....I have nothing against vegans and all around good animal activist .....but peta is violent and in my opinion all around psycho

peta cant possibly save ALL of the millions of animals that are needy in this world. its impossible. untill PEOPLE start spaying/neutering their animals and taking responsibility for this problem dogs and cats will remain in a postition where some will need to be killed. thats the reality of it.

and noone in their right mind thinks that all the worlds "pets" should just be free to rome around the streets getting killed, starved and over breeding. thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard.

Thats correct. "in a perfect world...." ALL animals would live as they were intended to live naturally....without human interferance and not as pets. however thats a hypothetical and no where did peta say that they advocate everyone turning their pets loose or freeing them. infact they commented on how since such is NOT the case......we as humans have a responsibility to take care of them to the fullest. so no they dont think that people should be setting their animals free.......

animals dont belong as peoples' "pets" anyway...living in tanks and cages (birds, snakes, etc)........

PETA says using dolphins and sea lions to intercept terrorists and mines, chickens and pigeons to detect the presence of biological and chemicals weapons and dogs to detect weapons and rescue troops "is cruel and may cost lives rather than saving them."They are completely against the topic

They also feel that we shouldnt have dogs for the blind calling it cruel. Personally I value human life more than animals...Im a cat lover and own two myself but if i had to trade their lives in order to save one human being I would do it...

petakillsanimals is a site run by people who are funded and have affiliations with phillip morris who's company in and of itself is threatened by animal rights since they profit from animal expoitation. in other words they have an agenda. i mean, you cannot just pull any old thing off the internet and find it credible....come on!

and some people would say that a man's life is more valueble than a womens, or that a white mans life is more valuble than a black mans........doesnt make it true.

yeah they are against the use of animals for human benefit..........thats why they are an animal RIGHTS organization.

well the proof is in the pudding

no way in hell 86% of their animals need to be put to sleep.Sounds like they would rather spend their money elsewhere.

Yes its a website but a website stating facts.....there are tax records on the website....Plus do you really think they would have the balls to state this (I guess also forge tax documents) if this wasnt so???I mean if i was peta I would be suing.

PETA has had dealings with them in the past....to what extenet i have no idea. humane societys, which the ASPCA also rails against animal cruelty and all that jazz, also kills animals. they euthanize millions every year. do they enjoy this or do they advocate killing dogs and cats? HELL NO. but tell me what is their alternative? when we are the ones who've caused this problem in the first place and then you want to blame those who are left with the mess? yeah ok:rolleyes:

i dont neccesarily support peta as an organization. i do support their message 100% and their goals but i dont deal with them that much with the exception of networking for pro activism.

it states the spca found homes for 73% of the animals they took in.....compared to 14% by peta .....explain this to me....or how about the fact that they disagree with animal made medical devices....

"PETA has repeatedly attacked research foundations like the March of Dimes, the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, and the American Cancer Society, because they support animal-based research that might uncover cures for birth defects and life-threatening diseases. PETA president Ingrid Newkirk has said that “even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we would be against it.”

I find nothing wrong with the spca and also see nothing wrong with being a vegan....I think its wonderful if thats wat your all about....But it dosent change the fact that peta is a hypocritical organization run by a psycho....

absolutley. animal rights doesnt end where we decide to draw the line. animals should not be used by humans for our benefit....thats the entire point to animals actually having rights. so yeah, if i had aids but the only way i could be cured was if a bunch of animals were locked up and tested on everyday of their lives id rather just die of aids too. i have no right to use animals no matter how large my problems become.
