I needed an example of something that was an obvious risky behavior. And in case you don't read the newspapers, there is a HUGE resurgence in the HIV infection rate among gay males, specifically. And the rate of infection of black women is up 100% over ten years (that's doubled over ten years).

Lately, health workers are finding that people are not protecting themselves against HIV because of how long they believe they can live using the latest HIV drugs. The thing they don't realize is that those drugs are not foolproof, they don't work in every case, they are hella expensive, and they often create such bad side effects that they cannot be continued (thus leaving the dude to die of AIDS).

I know you were looking for an example...I just found it interesting that you specified gay men, as opposed to drunken university students or something. I'm not trying to start shit with you, I'm not even involved in what's going on... I just thought was interesting, since I'm working on three separate projects on homosexuality and mainstream media and homophobia and stuff... because of my research I've been noticing comments like that more and more.

And yes, the rate of gay males being positive is on the rise, it's true. From unprotected sex and from sharing needles. But it's also up in underpriviledged straight teens, too, who are engaging in risky sexual behaviours... and yet the parents still fight against decent sex ed classes. Appalling.

 

i dont think she EXPECTED to chew her cheeks out. im sure if there was any evidence saying that that roll was going to leave her chewing herself to death then she wouldnt have done it. It is a possible sideaffect, just like theres a possibility your chute just wont open or that it will tangle or youll land uncontrollably on a spiked fence.

a person spitting on a cop has no reason at all to expect that the cop wont bash them up, unless theres a strange case of this cop being a retarded gay guy whos actually dressed up as a village person.
