I Expected To Be Discriminated Against Years Ago When I Started

Fulltime Barefooting, Especially In Winter When I Thought Some People Would

Think I Was A Screw Loose....*and i bet some did indeed think that*.

But Apart From A Few Odd Glances, The Occasional Giggling Teenage Girl, And

Lots Of Intelligent Questions As To How I Could Do That In Winter,

Nothing Happened....

Then 2 1/2 Years Ago I Started Growing Natural Dreads, And I Was Certain

I Would Be Profiled As A Druggie Loser, But Apart From A Few Nasty Stares From

Women Over The Age Of 70, And Lots Of Intelligent Questions As To How

You Grow Them,

Nothing Happened....

But What Really Surprised Me Was The Reaction From Total Male

Strangers Who Were Conservativly Dressed, About My Age, And Would Just

Strike Up A Conversation With Me, A Pleasant Surprise Indeed....

I have come to realize that is doesn't matter what people look like they can be the worst or the best, I tend to give people too much and I end up getting hurt when they try to run over me or think that its ok to screw me over. If there where more people out in the world just willing to be open and helpful to others, the world would be an awesome place!
