From the size of this thread I think people do have an obsession over penis, on this site at least

But yeah, I think it was been created from nothing. I think porn doesn't help things, when thinking of the male ego. I have never had a woman speak to the size of my (I feel silly using this word) penis. I have never had a woman speak to the uncircumcised condition of my penis. I have never had a discussion with a woman about penises in general. I have never heard any of my friends male or female, speak to the size or condition of any man's penis. I do not have any friends who are the slightest into embarrassing, or shaky when it comes to their self image. What can I say, other than worrying about something you can't change is stupid and immature. I never even knew guys worried about size, until I started on this hip forum adventure. Most of those who worry about size here seem to be young. I don't know what I thought when I was 15. I was already using the equipment with women and never bothered to look much at the guys in the locker room. Secondly, and this may be at the heart of the disscussion, adolescent boys are not worrying about what you gals think, they are worried about other guys. Should they disrobe in front of the guys, go skinny dipping, take that shower when drenched with sweat - or will they be laughed at? Women are the last thing they are immediately worried about. They will deny this fact to the last one standing (including some 25-35 yr old adolescents), but that brings me to point three: adolescents lie through their teeth! About sex, thoughts, desires, everything connected to their bodies active or passive. For X sake, quit trying to figure us out. It has little to nothing to do with you! It's strictly a guy thing. Don't read the damn stuff if it bothers you. It is a number one concern of most adolescent boys - for all the wrong reasons. But there it is!

 

I'm all for spicy conversation, but there are so many other related things you could bring up that would be more fun and interesting; such as what you do with your dick, when, where, how often, and with whom. The size discussions are the least original and interesting of all the things you could say about your dick. That's the main point I want to make here. To most women, that just sounds like typical male hyper-competitive bullshit.

That brings up a whole different side of this issue. Women only have a reason to care about erect size. Guys in the locker room are probably not going to see it when it's hard. So maybe those guys are asking the question wrong, or maybe us ladies are misunderstanding their questions, because we aren't thinking about relaxed size at all. Any girl who has been with more than one guy knows that relaxed size doesn't tell you anything for sure about erect size.

 

Go see what women say in the "Does size matter?" threads and you'll see why men are self-conscious about size.

Men will stop obsessing about penis size when women stop obsessing about breast size.


To be fair: Why is it that most women say they wish they had bigger breasts, then complain when men stare at their chest?

 

This is all BS. Most men have 4 to 6 inch dicks, the latter being a bit large the former a bit small, but perfectly acceptable. As far as I can recall, I've always been erect well before being naked on every occasion that I've had sex with a woman.
