The anesthetic effect helps here, too. If you can't feel pain, you don't need to stop as soon....

i've heard of someone on PCP being shot in the chest multiple times and lived until he came down from the drug.

this seems plausible since if you cannot feel much pain and your body is being pumped with chemicals and energy, you won't take an adverse reaction to the fact that you were shot and will carry on you way until a) your mind realizes what has happened and you freak out or b) your body realizes what has happened and it freaks out. ultimately, one of the two has to happen. scary.

 

I've heard that several times, but this simply wouldn't be possible...multiple shots to the chest cavity would have to hit some sort of major vascular network, besides puncturing a lung (which definitely wouldn't help). PCP, while far from the safest compound on the planet, has many urban legends surrounding it...for example, some rapper ate his girlfriend or some kid ate his parents; have you ever had the urge to eat when you're in a k-hole?
