Pads or Tampons???

What is this Diva cup? I've never heard of one. I remember when I started my period. It was 1976, I was 12 1/2. Mom handed me this huge thick pad and a "belt" to hold it on. I was like what?? Two days later, I asked her to get me tampons. She freaked out and told me they would "pop my cherry" and my husband would think I wasn't a virgin, lol. She did buy them though. Interested in this alternative to both.

 

A diva cup is a menstrual cup that goes inside your vagina and collects the blood instead of absorbing it. There is no risk of TSS like there is with tampons, and they can stay in a bit longer. The best thing about it, is it is reusable. You can use the same one for years... you don't have to worry about keeping anything extra with you in case it fills up... simply empty it into the toilet and put it back in.

 

Diva cup all the way! They need to teach more girls about this method, so many women I talk to have NO idea what it is, it's really quite sad. EVERY WOMAN SHOULD TRY THE CUP! Never have to buy tampons or pads ever again!

 

I've heard of those cups.

Just me tho they sound a little yucky, but that just me. Besides I only get my thing once every 3-6 months and light as so not worth it for me in general.

 

I have only ever used pads.

 

I use both. When I'm really heavy I prefer to just stay in bed with a pad on and a heating pad. That's one of the best feelings for me. I'm interested in trying the diva cup. (Don't knock it till you try it )

 

i only ever used pads ... im thinking of using tampons .. do they hurt??

 

Tampons through the day and both tampons and pad through the night

 

Pads at home, esp while i sleep. Tampons for when i leave the house.. if i feel like leaving the house that is.

 

No they don't, unless you put it in at a wrong angle. I used to think they hurt that's why i didn't use them. But they are just soo much better. They don't make a mess,in which you are way cleaner.

Pads. Tampons are super uncomfortable.

 

Pads, thin one...thick ones are like a diaper and rub my pussy and it hurts. The idea of tampons seems icky and the only think I want in there is a dick or at least my fingers or a toy. Something about a tampon in there blocking the natural flow just bothers me a lot.

 

I LOVE ME SOME TAMPONS , but if I know I'm going out a longg time and I know I'm not gonna want to frequently get up & change my tampon.. I wear a pad w/ my tampon.
And when I have heavy flows on my 1st & 2nd days.
Pads are disgusting to where by themselves though.
Your smell is openly displayed.
and blood rubs against your vagina all day..

Diva cup!! everything else is filled with chems OR is drinking up your body fluids!!!
unless you do like a a natural rag and you then feel like a wounded animal sitting in its own juices :O
