I have always hated pads. When I first started wearing them in middle school I felt almost dirty because my periods are so heavy and the pads would fill easily. I had to use the larger pads and I felt like I was wearing a diaper or something. I started using tampons either towards the end of middle school or the beginning of high school (I do not remember which) and have never looked back. AH! So much better and I feel cleaner and not nearly as worried about blood accidentally leaking through my pants, etc.

Never heard of the menstrual cup...will have to look that up!

i genrally prefer to wear tampons, using a pad makes me feel like i am sitting in a bloody diaper, although sometimes when i run out of tampons i will use a pad, or if its light when i go to sleep i'll use a pad, I've never actually forgotten i've had a tampon in, but i heard of people who have. Tampons to me are comfortable and they dont hurt to insert or take out.

Before I got my menstrual cup I only used tampons. I've never liked using pads. My periods are heavy enough that pads get gross quick and they just feel awkward. Almost like wearing a diaper. Not to mention, they're even worse in the summer when you sweat and they feel weird on your thighs and it stinks. ick. moving on...lol

A menstrual cup is worn inside the vagina during menstruation to collect menstrual flow.

It's just not always easy to get inside...

Tampons all day, really easy just pop it in and you don't have to worry about leakage as much with just a pad. I wear a SUPER PLUS tampon on my first three days with a thin pad.

Hmm that sounds like a bit of a hassle to me. Well, I'd try it though if the oppurtunity ever presented itself.

Tampons disturb me because of the packaging and waste.
    I use reusable pads... :)

I use both pads and tampons because it really depends on the situation. If I'm going to be playing sports or doing something that involves a lot of activity then I wear a tampon. If I'm just indoors or going shopping or something like that, then I wear a pad.

    Diva cup all the way!!
You can measure your flow, so you know much more about your body. Also, the amount of waste women cause with tampons and pads is insane. Do the math sometime... One period per month for maybe 40-50 years, 12 months per year, times 3 billion or so women, plus all the women who've lived before us... It's craziness!! A diva cup lasts for a year and causes no waste.
Also, much less risk for TSS. I can't believe how many people havent heard of this method.

For me it depends. I like Tampons better but if its not heavy enough it hurts so I use a RE$AL thin Pad. I try to use Tampons more though because Pads are more likley to: smell, move around, leak, etc. I just fell "safer" and more confortable with a Tampon.

I use both as well. I'd rather wear tampon's during the day when I'm more active. Pads are more comfortable for sleeping. Even though I buy the most heavy duty, super flow pads, I may still wake up with breakthrough bleeding, and it's not uncommon to see spots on my sheets sometimes.

Diva cup... sometimes reusable pads. It saves money and it's less trash going to the landfill. I also could usually feel tampons and they were very uncomfortable at times, and I don't have that problem with the cup.
