    Thank god or whatever invisible being you worship for erowid.org! It provides leaps and bounds more information than ANY government sponsored drug website. All those sites, like above the influence, that are supposed to be so helpful when it comes to teens and drugs are completely useless! We all know that, of course, but a lot of other people don't. Erowid is certaintly a public service, and its information has probably saved hundreds, if not thousands of lives. I know that I am so much safer, more aware and less ignorant of very dangerous things because I have read up on erowid. It is, in my opinion, the paragon of drug information. That site alone has been educating people since it was formed, and I am very appreciative of the job the people at erowid have done. I wonder if they have evere been to this website, probably like 75% of the people here go there to get info. Sorry for the big rant, I'm just happy to see that people appreciate erowid.

    Great insight, great post. Perhaps if Governments actually legalised all drugs, prescribed Heroin/Crack to addicts, and made other drugs available through specialist stores (Like Amsterdam:)) society could change for the better. I can't name one addict who would rather go out and steal, and fuck people over if they could get their fix for free/prescription cost. Besides, any Government would reap massive profits in taxes by legalising drugs, I mean how many people drop acid or ecstacy every weekend? How many people smoke weed regularly? In the UK alone it runs into the millions, and that's just an estimate, this money could be used for education, health services - clearing the national debt, whatever. Imo the only people who would be opposed to legalisation would be high level dealers, they would be the ones who stand to lose out the most.

    Hang on, by that logic if;
    Dealers oppose Legalisation, and
    Governments oppose Legalisation
    All Governments are dealers ;)

    welll you know what they say: explaining an opiate buzz to someone who has never tried it is like trying to explain sex to someone who has never tried it. they just don't understand.
    oh and i find it funny that some hard core meth and crack addicts that i have known actually called me a 'junkie' and they didn't mean it in a nice way - but they thought they were better than me because they used either crack or shot up meth instead..... LOL :D
