reminds me of a funny story. This woman was in a bookshop and her little kid was going apeshit. She warned the kid to stop or she would smack her. When the child continued she gave her a small smack on the bum and told her to stop. With that, up came some German hippie backpacker who said, "Excuse me, but in germany, we don't see fit to beat our children." The young mother replied, "Well, in Ireland, we don't see fit to gas our jews, so fuck off and kindly mind your own goddamn business."
My aunt who lives in Canada once got into fight with this librarian cause she asked my aunt to speak more slowly. She said my aunt spoke broken English which really pissed off my auntie. So she demanded a written apology. Which she got of course. The funny thing is that my aunt really speaks broken English but she wont take shit from anyone, especially not Canadians.
Yup. And its funny that my aunt got a job as a German teacher. I mean, she speaks broken English. And she is not even qualified. She doesnt have a college diploma and I certainly wouldnt let her teach my children. Does that say anything about Canadian educational sytem ? She should have stayed a stewardess. Geez.
Pffft canadians. Actually my uncle is croation and I love his family soooooo much, cuties. Now my two youngest cousins (2 & 3) are irish and croation, aw.
See ? We are everywhere... irish and croatian...what a combo ! Your croatian cousins must rock ! I am not too keen on my canadian family...they are weird. the kids are adorable, but my aunt and uncle....NOPE.
I shop online like most women shop in real stores. I hate going out to shop most of the time, so I just hole up inside and stare at eBay.
lol The only thing about ebay, is I feel Id have to compete to buy stuff, as well isnt it weird youre buying stuff out of people's homes? I dont do well at vintage stores either.
I buy plane tickets online coz it's waaaay cheaper like that. Until a few weeks ago, I hadn't really bought anything else online. However, in the end of December I decided I wanted to get some new clothes but couldn't be bothered with the crazy sales as I don't have the patience to deal with crazy people and queues and so I decided to order some stuff online. Well, I'm never doing that again as the delivery took forever to come although it said it would be here in three days. And they got everything wrong. And they didn't have all the stuff in stock so instead of letting me know they couldn't send me the stuff I had ordered they decided to send me other stuff as replacement. So I ended up getting some "lovely" granny bras and undies. Sooo yeah, I don't see myself online shopping anytime soon.
cheapbooks.com, probably. they haven't raised their prices yet with their increase in popularity. i'm ashamed to say that i buy used college texts from all you poor starving students for my own edification.
I've only actually bidded on anything maybe twice. Most everything I need or want has a Buy It Now option, so you automatically win. It's sort of cheating, sure, but I find bidding on stuff pretty annoying and I hate bidding on something someone else has already bid on, because I feel like I'm being a bully and taking what they want. Haha.
I buy babies online...you can get them pretty cheap too... The only place I shop online is dickblick...nope, not what it looks like...
I had to look around for that one. I actually found it on some obscure affiliate of Amazon. But I usually try to check a couple of sites out. Half.com is usually the best one for textbooks.
