If you mean did I read anything after your above statement that clearly implies that you would not date someone after a one night stand, no. No I did not.
Was I to read through 7 pages of crap for that?

 

My one night stand ended up becoming a 4 year relationship. And it would have lasted longer, but my partner died from complications due to AIDS (this was during the early 1990s).

We met at a bar. Talked and listened to music for a couple of hours. Went back to his place, and had incredible sex. Exchanged phone numbers, so I called him a week or so after. That's the ticket: don't just throw somebody's phone number away, because you met them in a bar.

Most people want to feel/be connected. You just have to find them at the right moment. I was lucky (and I'm grateful for that). If I had written the whole thing off as a one night stand - I'd have missed out on one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. I'm glad I dialed his number. Very glad.

When the opportunity came I couldn't do a one nighter, for many reasons, one what if he had a disease, two what if I like him and want to do it again but he didn't? What if he liked it and stalked me for a second and more, so ya, because I couldn't do it I would have a hard time dating someone I fell loose with once (probably over booze) who could do one nighters. If he was that easy then he might be that easy all the time and who knows what he's got.
I have a hard time with the thought of giving myself up to someone I don't know well and trust. I couldn't place myself as a home wrecker either even if I liked him, have always made sure they didn't have baggage they might want to go back to so they had to be single and free of that crap as well. Many one nighters stem from bad marriages too.
