What about two nightstands:

One night stands are traditionally not suppose to lead to anything. I think that is the whole point.

 

Umm here is what I'm really not getting.

If you sleep with someone and then you end up dating or even marrying them.... how was it a one night stand? Know what I mean?

It can't be a one night stand if you stay with them and continue sleeping with them.

And I have had that happen more than once or twice... but they weren't one night stands.

Basically in the OP i was referring to someone you meet at a bar/club while intoxicated.. go home.. have sex with them and then they leave.

But... do you know what I mean? If you sleep with someone when you first meet them but then you DO end up dating them/being serious with them... then that wasn't a one night stand, was it?

I think the only way your question would make sense to me is in the context that say you sleep with someone once and then you don't see them for a really long time. Would you then consider dating them or not at a later time?

But other than that, if you sleep with someone when you first meet them and end up really liking them and start dating them right off the bat then it's not a one night stand, yes?

Here's how I met my husband (who I've now lived with since 2000- so 14 years now)....

Was supposed to go to an outdoor rave in the woods with a girlfriend of mine. Her guy friend was gonna drive both of us but my gf got sick. She asked him if he'd still take me so he picked me up and took me. I hardly saw him there at all. He was nice enough but we seperated in there and just didn't really see each other. So, he was a ride.

Then a month later I saw him at a club (rave club)... I had a lot of pills (mdma) and I was there with two friends and he was there with the girl I mentioned earlier. Our friends all left- but before they all left... me and him were the only two people that were dancing ALL night... and who wanted to keep dancing... (we had a GREAT time dancing together)... he asked me for a ride home. I said sure. So on way home, we're both still rolling and had really hit it off. He asked if I wanted to chill at his house. I said sure. Went over there..smoked some weed, talked ....and talked...and talked...about everything. Slept together after the first 24 hours that I was at his house. I stayed another two days. We never ran out of things to talk about and felt like we'd known each other forever. Ended up moving in together a month later. BUT here's my point.... that wasn't a one night stand because it turned into a relationship right off the bat. But, it easily could have been....???

 

So.... only difference between what you said and my story was that I didn't leave?
