i'm not entirely sure how this always confuses people. my name is K.C. that's it. think K.C. & the Sunshine Band. they were big when i was born. though his real name is Casey.
yeah. you europeans all get really wigged out about it. there was a pack o' germans in my class who got all cross-eyed and i had to write it out for them. my french teacher could fluidly pronounce all the complicated vietnamese names, but when she came to mine she couldn't wrap her head around it and wrote it on the board so that i could say it for her. i rolled my eyes, raised my hand and said "it's casey." there was a collective "wtf?" from all the immigrants and exchange students, while all the american kids just laughed. then they want to know which letter to emphasize. Kc or kC? i say that i emphasize the C, and they act like it's weird and i wonder why the hell they asked. and when the military recruiters would call up, for some reason they all expected me to be a black man.
i know, it's an american thing. my older brother's name is james arthur brock, he went by J.B. actual initials. my little brother's name is Dalzell, pronounced DL, but it's not initials at all. kinda funny, i think.
