wow when i started from page 1 there was only 22 pages as i continued reading my pages became longer..........hmmmm

i wonder why hipforum doesnt' have instant messaging......unless you go to the chat room, but i go there regularly and i see the same people in there everyday and noone talks much.....why?

but this topic was more than amusing. I really don't understand why people have to argue the beliefs of hippies or any(labeled) group.

So if you dont 'believe in what the hippies believe in....what's your beliefs? what makes yours so great and better than all the other beliefs....i mean you can sit here and argue your beliefs til your blue in the face....it's not gonna make anyone believe differently than when they first began believing..make sense?

And when people do try to make a difference in the world, they are constantly put down and critized for their beliefs...and because most of society is afraid of rejection most people give up. So if you really want people to get of their asses and make a difference you should not critize those of us who are trying.

And my beliefs are 'better' than hippies because my beliefs do go through constant metamorphisis and change... anyone who labels themselfs as a hippie tends to get caught up in narrowminded thinking, and often believes whatever the hippie guidebook tells them too.

i'm sorry that so many "hippies" have let you down.
maybe some "hippies" go by what this guidbook says but i believe that alot of people who appear as "hippy" really just go with what they feel, i dont think that all "hippies" conform to the stereotype look on hippies just cuz that's what the guidebook says. They just do what's natural to them. Yeah sure they some may have had to learn this behavior somewhere right? maybe thier parents or something, but alot of them "hippies" are the way they are w/o labeling them selves a typical stereotype "hippie", some don't really care what they are called and people will come by and just start calling them by what they've been taught to call them "HIPPIES"....so once again...i'm sorry that you've been let down

 

nope i wasn't saying that hippies were the only to make a change. i believe what i said was "those that try to make a difference...." you assumed i was referring to hippies.....hippies aren't the only to try.

I was bashing stereotypes of hippies for the hell of it, and a lot of people responded by stereotyping themselfs in general, which I found hilarious.

Nobodys let me down, I just have chronic insomnia leading to intense boredom.

This thread was a joke, and the only people I really look down on are people without a sense of humor about their beliefs.
