Hey man, sex is a personal thing. I've got friends who are virgins or don't get laid much and it's not strange at all. Personally, I'm more comfortable getting more sex and love being able to do so, but that's my opinion.

Good point. I guess I should've said "a certain number of people in this thread." I'll be sure to specify next time! And yeah dude, I personally look forward to that lifetime of sex :D

Exactly. I think too many people try to force their own views and ideals about sex onto others, as if it's somehow universal, and that you're somehow "weird" if you don't hold the same views about it. Everyone has different ideals about it, and there is of course nothing wrong with being a virgin, even if you are an older person.

I think it's only a problem if the person would rather not be a virgin, and it's certain barriers in their way which are preventing them from having sex. But still, it's not something a person should ever be ridiculed, or stigmatized for. For some, sex is a deeply private and personal thing, whereas for others, they just see it in a more casual, carefree way. Neither viewpoint is right or wrong, they are both equally valid.

Actually it's more of a recommendation to wait until you meet someone you feel the right connection with, than anything else. Or at least that's what I meant when I made my initial reply, anyway. You don't necessarily have to wait that long to meet someone like that. Some people lose their virginity when they are very young and be happy about it. Some do so when their are older. The most important thing is to be happy with whatever decision you make.

I take it something has happened? :( Why do you think no girl would want to be with you? Is it because of having cerebral palsy?

Here's one rule you should always keep in mind. NEVER think in absolute terms unless you're thinking "never think in absolute terms". It's like what Obi-Wan said to Anakin, "Only a Sith deals in absolutes."

If you think you're worthless, then of course you'll be worthless. Why? Because you just reached that conclusion yourself. Again, you haven't left a room for self improvement, and instead simply said you were worthless and that's it. What you said even comes across as you almost accept that you're worthless. By regarding yourself as worthless, you have also denied any positive vibe coming from others. Mean people are everywhere, but not everyone is a mean soul.

But you know, depression can be good sometimes. It reminds you of what it means to be truly happy. To know what is good, you have to also know what's bad. But focusing on the negative isn't an ideal way to deal with things. It prevents you from being mentally flexible. It promotes emotional bitterness. I don't think you want to go down that road...

Yeah dont take anything i say as mean towards you guys because i know your trying to help and all, but you really dont know my life and all the shit ive been thru but to sum it up you said being depressed makes you appreciate when you were truly happy. Well I've never been happy depression is all i know. I have been fighting tooth and nail my whole life to get happy and everytime i get close something blows up in my face sending me twenty steps backwards and I'm sick of it, so yea Ive decided to give up its not worth it.

Actually, of course we don't know how your life is. We're obviously not you. I mean, I'm sorry you haven't really been happy all your life. I'm sure the others feel terrible about that too. But you're still missing the point. Life is a journey. There is a place you call "point B", if you will. Your journey began when you were born, meaning you started at "point A". You're still about a quarter of the way into the whole journey. And guess what. You ARE going to finish it. WE ALL are, and that's what life is about.

You're 21 and you're already saying you want to give up. I'm 35 and I have no intention of giving up. What does that make me? An idiot? Please, if you're sick of it, change it. It's your journey and you are in control as long as you're willing to reach your goal. And keep in mind that you won't reach your goal until you're old and wrinkly and on your death bed. If you still say all that negative shit on your death bed, then..... Well, DON'T GIVE UP!!! You still have your next life. ;)

Dude, seriously, if you don't know what happiness really is, then you're actually lucky! Imagine what it would be like when you finally discover it! And you will. Be strong man, it's something we all go through, one way or another. ;)

I'm not going to patronise you, as I can relate very much to what you're saying. Heck, the words you've just said, mirror what I myself have said a few times. lol I am quite a bit older than you, and yes it can be very demoralising and soul destroying to keep fighting to try and make things better for yourself, only to be constantly knocked back to square one again. I have also never been happy, with depression being all I've ever known. And the older Im getting, the more my hope fades that I will ever find happiness, at least in this lifetime.

Still, I think you should listen to Alternative Thinker's post above, because he is right. 21 is too young to be saying you want to give up. Although you are right that I don't know your life, much of what you're saying sounds very familiar to me, and my own experiences of life. I do not have your disability, but I do have a physical deformity that has made life very difficult and painful for me to endure. And yes, there have been times when I've felt like giving up... things can seem like too much to bear at times. But, you have to keep fighting, you never know what's around the corner. And as impossible and unlikely as it might seem at the time, you might one day be pleasantly surprised by what life has in store. :) Happiness is certainly not guaranteed, and for some people, their chances of experiencing happiness are far less than it is for others. But still, I think you owe it to yourself to keep aiming for better things, and a better life.

It took me a very long time to realise that I am worth something, and that I do deserve happiness. And while I may still never get that, I owe it to myself to at least try to achieve that, because I know Im worthy of happiness. And I know you are too. ;)

Well, at least you can take from it a lesson; don't get super drunk on a date. You might mistype her number.

She may have given you a fake one if she didn't like that you were really drunk.
