and those are the only cartoons I'll buy the dvds of, because that's part of my childhood, and I can't think of anything better to watch while stoned anyway.
I never get a chance to see the old cartoons anymore but thankfully, there is the magic of DVD. I have the fist 4 volumes of Tom & Jerry before the became crap. The first 4 volumes of Looney Tunes , until they ran out of good cartoons (anyone remember the classic with the singing frog rescued fom a tin under the foundations of a demolished building?) The Wacky Races Danger Mouse The complete Top Cat collection. This was based on the 50's sitcom Seargant Bilko, where the character Benny was transformed from the Character Doberman in Bilo and voiced by the same actor (Maurice Gosfield) Love the Pink Panther also I also bought vol 1 of Hong Kong Phooey. Phooey is right. Is didnt stand the test of time . The same gags over and over again. the only funny character was the receptionist in the police station.
Tom and Jerry before it turned crap was just amazing, same with Scooby Doo (although I do like the marijuana jokes in the Scooby Doo movie) I loved the shows likes Ed, Edd and Eddy, Looney Tunes, Wacky Races etc... I can't think of anything better to watch while high. They were truly funny not like the kids shows today, today I was watching this TV show my little sister happened to be watching at the time, it was called "Nina and her Neurones go Inventing". What kind of little girl at the age of 7 really wants to learn about neurones?
I don't know what Boomerang is, but I see flintstones on Teletoon Retro all the time, like at least 3 times a day. Maybe they're the same thing, I don't know.
I partially agree with this lol Old cartoons were much funnier than the new ones made for kids today. As for what kind of little girl at the age of 7 wants to learn about neurons, when I was a kid, there was a show called "Magic School Bus" and it was essentially the same thing. I've never seen Nina and her Neurons go Inventing, but Magic School Bus was about a class of kids and their teacher, Ms. Frizzle, who used to go on field trips to learn about different things. Like ladybugs, and molecules, I believe they even surfed a volcano once. Gotta love the shows that make learning fun (and not quite obvious)
That was my favorite episode of Looney Tunes. Thanks for bringing it up and reminding me... good times
Loony Toons, Tom and Jerry, Johny Quest, Flintstones, Rocky and Bullwinkle, Scooby. It took me years to figure out why Shagg and Scoob were always starving, and why Scoob's middle name was Dooby. Heh Frog J. Michigan sings: "Hello My Baby" in; One Froggy Evening This is another fave of mine. v https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi5EcXjfzro&feature=related"]YouTube- Bevilled Rabbit (1957)
