And the pantyhose hat lets water get in...its just thin netting, its not a shower cap or anything.

Anyway, didn't mean to hijack the thread. :)

I can't wait to see your progress..I always love to see a neglect journey.

Backcombing is about as necessary as pairing your socks after doing the washing.

As A Fulltime Barefooter I Know Nothing About Pairing Socks And Shoes.:willy_nilly:

But After I Have Washed My Feet, I Always Pair Them, Left Foot To The Left Of Me,

    Right Foot To The Right...:).

    Cheers Glen.

That is, you need it in court, when no one should see your socks anyway.

Old argument is old... (amount of damage aside) What's more natural: a pair of hands or a flea comb?

I also put wax in my hair the first couple of days. :D I didn't find this site until after I already had dreadlocks.

you're making the wrong argument. or rather, trying to incite one.

speaking from personal experience, as i have tried both methods, there is more damage to the hair with twist and rip, especially the ends.

    sorry brah

....he said "damage aside", which is more "natural"?

I have to agree with him, I'd rather paw at my hair than comb at it. And I'd rather do nothing to it than do either of those to it.

they were the same. my ultimate point was that neglect is best, but backcombing caused less damage compared to t&r

I don't think so, on the topic what is 'natural' I just don't consider the use of a comb to be 'natural'

And you decided to ignore what I actually wrote, so...

it wasn't about what's natural, it was about whether unnatural methods (backcombing v. t&r) are more damaging than each other.

How many posts in this thread are about damage?

Why would I want to argue with you anyways? I only like to argue with fun people.
