people live off of things that they dug out of a trash bin (including used toothbrushes and toiletries), do you think people would care about used underwear??

quote: would you buy used underwear?

NO,and there are a few board games I bought there that i wish I hadn't, dirty in the wrong way

I used to wear the dress shoes from there, the ones that sat in an old guys closet for 30 years until he finally died

frumpy rags just aren't flattering... they don't show off any shape. They make anyone look like they're trying to hide some gigantic stomach or some sort of deformity, even if they ain't. Different story if they're actually flattering types of hippie clothes.

thrift stores are awesome. There aren't many near my house though (just "vintage" stores that charge more for a T now than what it was originally, BAH). I wouldn't buy underwear from 'em, but they're great for formal clothes (especially suit jackets, which are damn expensive new but cheap used)

thats what makes me unique I guess.

I didnt have the benefit of older brothers to hand down clothes to me when I was growing up..... I either got new clothes, or very out of date clothes from my cousins.

now, my youngest brother goes through so many clothes..... he buys so much shit from A&F, hollisters, the buckle...... whatever trendy stores are out there... and he has to stick with the trendy clothes, so some of the older ones he just wants to ditch or hand them off, which I will gladly take for free.

I say fuck abercrombie and eagle and the like. I really wouldnt want to wear them if they were given to me. its because of the name. what is the point of them plastering their name across the front of it? I mean these people are walking around literally being billboards advertising for these companies. First, you pay 50 bucks for the hoodie. then you give them free advertising everytime you wear the shirt so more lemmings will buy their crap and be a walking billboard too. I dont like desinger clothes.

I am not really into the hippie style of clothing for me, I am basically your jeans and t-shirt person or a nice big baggie pair of sweats.

we usually shop at JC Penneys, Macy's, Robinsons May, Ross , or Kohls.

I love Ross i can go and get the girls roxy shirts for under $15.

It seems I can never find anything at the Thrift Stores i do go and look though.

yeah, free clothes are good, whatever the brand name may be. My grandma gave me a couple shirts (gym shirts for me mostly, since they're a bit too big), and my cousins have given me two of my favourite shirts (now almost worn through from me wearing them so much... so comfy and good)

and duckie... I wasn't saying anything like women had to wear clothing that was only sexy. I was simply agreeing with the OP that most frumpy clothing (by definition) is unflattering.

It shows you the mindlessness of the society in which we live. People have no qualms about being walking advertisements if it means appearing "cool" to their idiot friends and the vapid fucks they wish to appeal to.

like I said, it doesnt bother me. if its comfortable, and doesnt show alot of skin, and its easy on your pocketbook, it doesnt matter if 8 year old children in a sweatshop made the shirt, Id still wear the damn thing

I'm embarrassed if someone sees I have a tag of any kind, I'm hoping they think all of my clothes are hand crafted
