ok i am pretty sur this might have been answered i have straight thin hair.

    I eased into it slowly. At first I washed everyday, then after awhile I went for every other day, then every 2 days, and so on until I found the right balance for me (which is currently twice a week). You'll find that when the dreads are mature you'll want to wash less because it takes so long for them to dry. Also, they absorb oil... so you won't need to wash as much (gross but true.)

    yah like some people said before ripping is the best I think, to section off your hair. I don't have dr. bronners and find it way more fun making up cleaning potions for my hair with baking soda and lemon :) it's cheap and fun! And your hair and scalp feel clean anddd it locks up my hair good ^-^

    Use any method you choose just don't put wax on them.

    Wax is the chains on locks, it incarcerates them and bounds them. just like you and me, and everything, they have the right to be free without restraint. And on the days they are crazy, love them for having a crazy dread day!
