"...ah no, if identity could be proven, then internet voting would be allowed..." replied the goblin, continuing "...where windows users can be traced back by their license number, true, yet not those linux users, where the ip address is random, and the mac address behind it is a clone, moreover any email address can be dumped too, the username and avatar changed entirely, anonymous in a way, and yet you would still know it is me here perhaps by the nature of the posts themselves, and yet you would be no nearer knowing who I actually am as long as I never admitted it to you, no at best you might get an ip address of some nobody in a bistro in geneva switzerland...", though having opened up this far the goblin admitted too that his anonymity was not so much intended as something to hide himself behind but more as his way to forsake materialism where perhaps reminded himself of the phrase well, if you can't walk away from it then it owns you, adding "...oh and of course, where one is not anonymous, that madusa then dates one turning one into just so much published stone with all those consequences..."

"...welcome infidels..." went the voice of the interpreter now, continuing "...we're very sorry that the goblin is indisposed at this point, though instead we are happy to announce that we have found someone, who we feel to be equally knowledgeable, to aid you with those difficult and complex questions, that you might have, concerning the general state of america's ecopolitical situation at this point, so without further ado, please welcome..., ..."

repost from elsewhere, another writer's forum, another ultimatum, resulting in another banning

“...look, all I have said from the beginning, and in the friendliest possible way too, is that this is how I'm going to write, and how I intend to remain writing too, where I've not once been rude, nor attacked anyone back on this forum, except perhaps by inflection from this stance then, for I don't care to write like the others do where the readability of my posts is already well known to me...” mused the goblin continuing “...so yes, you may hate my writing style for whatever reason, even taking yet more punitive actions against me for not buckling in, but you won't change me, any more than you can turn this forumland into your bookworld, for those days are gone where no doubt the reader will still read a book from time to time, yes but that this forumland, livewriting, and forum readership too, are all today's reality now...”, simply, the goblin's writing style was his guise of anonymity here, where he carefully hid himself behind some lax grammar usage, saying “...look, if ever started writing in that ever so correct yet tediously dull boringly obvious and repetitively old hat sort of way that you're demanding of me now, medusa would simply home in as to who or what was writing this, whereas this way then, I imagine she is might be quite dumbfounded at the audacity of actually facing someone anonymous who is not hoodwinked by her dowry of fame and fortune...", in fact, the goblin at times felt that medusa might actually dislike the goblin even more than any of her writing-clone suitors did, saying "...no let's be honest here, I mean once everyone caves in and writes that perfectly is it any wonder that afterwards they then need usernames to tell each other apart, ah but I digress now so. but we mustn't let mudusa down now and keep her waiting here, so I'll decline your ultimatum and just accept your ban instead..."

the goblin too, felt that he should welcome each new member in turn, saying "...welcome then, I'm sure you will appreciate the finer qualities of this unique thread here, together with the way this thread is purposefully designed to inspires writers, such as your good self, to reach deep within their dormant creative selves helping them to tap into those hidden yet practical qualities of hamming, spamming and trolling...", the goblin stopped for a moment trying to find the right words to express his logic here, saying "...yes, simply a writer in this day and age has to know those black arts too, where he is after all a writer in every post he does upon the thread/stage where those hecklers are one's constant companion across forumland...", so perhaps the goblin was hiding the truth behind his joke again, where goblins were not to be trusted anyway

and with that goblin felt he was amongst friends now, saying "...I will go slowly on your forum humans, it's just that always try to make my posts somewhat inconspicuous, drab, and above all without the slightest intention of seeming to come across as utterly attention seeking in some way...", and with that the lie detector exploded, whereupon the goblin just added "...well yes, it's just that to date, I've have not been very good at it..."

the goblin liked the rain in summer, those showers that burst out and fell with all its pent up frustration and vengeance to whip cracks of thunder and sudden shocks of lightning, where each droplet just bounced off the surface in a drum-call of excitement, saying "...ah yes, I always find myself admiring this type of rain then, a rain that one would least like to be under too, like a dark girlfriend perhaps, one who's entirely wrong for one's quaint little world but still so unforgettably alluring in wildness that one feels ever drawn to her now...", and how the topic brought back a ghost of a girlfriend long past now, where sometimes too the goblin just hated his own heart then, saying "...perhaps I see now that I should have followed my heart over that cliff with her letting us fall from grace together instead, so this storm is for her once more..."

"...life ends when one stops caring..." went the goblin borrowing martin luther kings's words, "...if that's the case, my life should have ended before it even started..." came the reply from within now, so the goblin just replied "...oh that's where we differ then, for there are many things I care about, just that these cares are on my terms, nor theirs, where certainly what they might call important doesn't mean that much to me..." mentioned the goblin who always tried to avoid the too extremes of either "stubbornly opinionated" or "utterly unopinionated", saying "...simply I'm forming an ongoing opinion here, which results in my caring perhaps..."

repost from elsewhere, the "are you a writer" thread

the goblin thanked the vampire again, repeating "...well the trick is probably just to turn all this posting into one's lifelong writing habit without any external motivations whatsoever, where each new text one writes then comes either as a reply to others here or as something from within oneself...", for in truth, if one always needs some motivation to write, then one can't claim to be a writer by nature, for only those whose works come without letup nor motivation are the real habitual by nature, where that "am I writer" question is self-evident quite regardless of how those works are received, in a nutshell, a writer is not what he has written, he's what he is still writing, so it's involuntary on his part, and not questionable by those around him

"...well it all goes back to that idea of "what one puts into one's posts is what one gets out of them too", where simply I want the ability to illustrate my posts at this point, meaning my finding the right picture each time..." replied the goblin, who wasn't merely satisfied with only improving his wording alone, no, for him a post had to be a matched post aka an illustrated text, adding "...well, I usually do any spontaneous text in brackets, where the ones I like I store away, and where each text gets matched eventually, though who knows when the right picture might come along...", so the point was simply the practice, something not to be confused with the end result here, which was merely a byproduct of that practice then, where perhaps too, the real meaning was in what type of poster one would become from carrying out this practice over one's remaining years as compared to someone who didn't, knowing too that one day those externals would take their toll then, so the goblin merely repeated "...what you put into your posts is what you will still be able to get out of them even in that external old age, ah, but there is no old age on forumland save the one one chooses for oneself..."

repost from elsewhere, goblin trying to give someone confidence then

"...ah no, don't care about the others and what they might think, writing is not trying to impress others anyway, where it makes no difference whether those whom you don't know here are impressed or not..." ventured the goblin again, continuing "...no, it's its continuation over its evaluation that matters most doesn't it, where hundreds of dud posts before the one that meets one's benchmark makes anything prior worth it, whereas, conversely too, if it turned out to be a "perfect post" that you felt you could match after that, then that "perfect post" was nothing but a useless hindrance to you...", simply the goblin was equating "posting" to being something like a "journey" here, where each individual post was a step along the way so to speak, where somehow the goblin knew that what people got to read were mere footprints then, left by an author of a chase by his pen and an elusive mercurial creature that never truly got pinned down anyway, so its the journey itself, and not those mere footprints now, that matters most here

"...well in dailylife I imagine one's eccentricity is good until society locks one up for it, whereas on forumland it's just good until one gets locked out for it, though I wonder who amongst us would like to think of themselves as some drab normal anyway..." replied the goblin who felt himself to be very normal indeed as far as goblins went

repost from elsewhere, the topic of "inflationary caused devaluation of currency"(icy dicey)

"...true, adjusting the prime is not going to mean much if no one will lend money in the first place, but he and the fed also regulates the amount of money in circulation, where there is more money being injected at this point than at any point previous in american history, just icy dicey in practice then, but some stimulus package it is not, for devaluing money is anti-stimulus pure and simple, why, because wealth is based on savings not upon speculations, where devaluation of savings through extra liquidity is impoverishment, so think of them more correctly as an "impoverishment programs" not stimulus programs

repost from elsewhere, a hostile forum where one of the members broke ranks to thank the goblin before leaving

"...naah, find me now, I'm about the easiest creature to seek out on forumland though I'm not poaching you..." repeated the goblin, continuing "...just that as a writer of you're caliber is too good for anywhere, so you should be most everywhere, for how else do those on forumland get to know you if you are in some lone blog somewhere..." continuing "...start off anonymously where you can reveal yourself when everyone has grown to like you, not that I'd ever reveal myself though, for doesn't forumland rightly hate all those who just stick up each and every dull detail of their dailylives in their blogs in upon those facebook walls, no mystic, no magic, and besides I never thought of you asthat the person in your mirror anyway, naah, you had to be an angel of sorts, for you alone amongst them broke ranks and befriended me here, very brave of you now, where I'll help you in my turn..."

thedope thought the goblin couldn't help but come out and thedope personally found the concerns of the anonymous writer to be as dull in every detail of any Joe's written account unless he was the Joe in question. The point being he thought, you needn't withhold yourself for the sake of being boring when no one cares about an unknowable stranger. Noticing, "the reader reads to add to his accounting and for this same account the writer writes and there is nothing anonymous about communication. We are automatically spell bound by biography."

"...yes, what you say is true enough, beautifully put too, and indeed someone more interested in the external would latch onto those externals far more than someone like myself who isn't..." mentioned the goblin, adding "...just pitfalls in anything I guess, where one is never going to hit it off with everyone neither, but where often people just forget that none of this can be proved anyway, or that they hide behind externals in order to be appreciated, they are bought by their fashion then, simply they must be "likewise" to be like by it, and it is this fashion side of it that I fight using anonymity..."

repost from elsewhere, a moment last year then

somehow the goblin's life seemed more like "short and sweet" rather than "plain and simple" where those ever more evident and ominous shadows were slowly falling across it, retorting to the truth "...yet what's is the point in knowing about that which one can do nothing about anyway...", and yes it was as if the clown had lost his smile here, so was what's coming god's rage at man's blunders or something coming anyway, whichever then the answer matter now, only that between post glacial rebound and the world financial collapse things did look ludicrously "business as usual"

repost from elsewhere, the subject of forum hopping

the goblin liked that line now, replying "...doesn't it just boils down to that idea of using a projected persona again to represent oneself across forumland by rather than being a lone username on one forum here, where both options are in fact personas since both portray oneself and one's nature in their different ways, and yet of the two, a chosen persona such a pixie faerie is more identifiable thus easier to recall than some vague username would be, where again, the more forums one is on the more one is represented across that forumland there, a franchise of oneself then...", in fact, the goblin was often followed across forums precisely because the google search of his username throw up his other threads, then explaining "...simply two reasons for thinking wider than remaining a poster upon one sole forum, firstly, that any forum could fold overnight, and secondly, that one's feeding upon readers depends upon drawing the maximum number of them to one's pen by actually going out on those forums for them then...", hence the goblin saw himself as more "across forumland" itself rather than actually being on any one place within it, yes he adapted to each forum in its turn but he never dropped his benchmark persona in doing so, smiling "...the forums are as venues quite beyond my control but I can't get to the audience without those forums then, yet that audience too couldn't find me if a compromised things too much between forums now, so it's memorable persona with a precise username, plus content to match...", yes the goblin wondered in what light the pixie faerie saw him now but he meant well though

"...how I love creating posts, for surely what one puts into them is less than that one gets out of doing so..." ventured the goblin seeing just how he'd come by it , in fact, he had been fighting writertypes again to that usual bitter banned end elsewhere, and now just needed this thread to cool off a bit, and perhaps to exact his standpoint to himself, explaining "...I am not a writer, I'm just another poster like you here, no us and them I mean, between you readers here and those who think this postings is not publishing and that you readers don't exist, you're nobodies, where my going "the emperor wears no posts" each time hardly endears me to them I guess, though isn't that their fault for thinking that they can put into their books that which they neglect to put into their posts while dismissing you readers here as just too dumb to notice any discrepancy by it...", "...just who do they think the are kidding..." went the disgruntled chorus of forum readers in the background, so the goblin just sighed "...simply, one's posts are as much oneself as one's books are, where here on forumland at least readers see the author more clearly through their posts as they do through their ads to elsewhere, so why the discrepancy then, why hold back, why no narration and dialogue, why the plain jane texts one sees repeatedly across forumland from the very ones trying to sell their wares here..."

"...ah yes, the world of adults thinks it wants the the truth when in fact it want lies, and, since that innocence of childhood is no longer acceptable to our adult reason now, we seek loopholes to our reason instead, where for example, we can see that another financial crash is coming since their given sums don't add up, and yet, we just think that if we just sit tight or look away, it'll all blow over or just go away, somehow knowing too, that even at best, we are just stoking the fiscal flames with ever more bailout fuel only for that same crash to occur at some later point, the loopholes being not my money, or their problem, or I could be wrong but deep down one's reason will have none of it, it's knows for sure what's next..." said the goblin who was only using this as one clear example of how one reassures oneself with lies, in fact, without these lies the goblin ventured that this world of adults would actually collapse into a chaos of utter honest despair, so he concluded "...just keep lying to me please, as my mundane dailylife is ample proof to the truth of my slavery to it, and yet since I can't escape from my lot can I, at least I can ignore the various approaching disasters hoping that lies, loopholes, and distractions will somehow tide me over till it happens or till I depart this world before then..."

"...ah now, whenever death announces himself he's a friend by it, where it's those sudden accidents that are the hardest of all his jests, but he alone adds meaning to one's short life doesn't he, for without death it would all be some meaningless eternity here..." said the goblin, thinking upon it now, adding "...funny, it's as if we're just like so many little fireflies set against the clear night's sky, and how those stars above just smile down at our assumptive folly each time, and yet I'd rather be one of those little fireflies then, for those stars can't ever dance on a night like this then..."
