been one hell of a month. looking forward to the new year and spring.

ah yes, spring. the time of year that i find less tainted by despair. even though it snows heaviest, and it can snow in May even. still. january-mid june im ok, usually. it should be a much better year overall. it has been a very rough year for me.

 

when I went looking for another house. the welfare system cut all my food benefits .. claiming I own to much. funny cause I dont get a guaranteed HUD check from the government from my tenants. as well, I have MS and cant work like that. basically the only thing giving me basic survival was my rents and food stamps. under 1200.00 mth.

getting sued by pittsburgh sewer and water for 12thousand dollars for abandoned property and lost meter for 12yrs.

owe $1,400.00 in other property taxes.

major road closure here is costing me 30 dollars in gas a day up and over hills.

sweet that gasoline went out 10cent in 12hrs. good going scrooge.

I personally love the film trainspotting. Really good characters, and the soundtrack is sweet too, pretty decent cinematography as well. Haven't watched it in years, like 2011 last time I saw it even though I own it on DVD. Despite all the crazy shit, still makes me wanna do a fat shot. And I'm not about that at all these days. I may watch it again though as I really love it. Rolling, let me know what you think.

My Mom died December 5, 2008 and Christmas has never been the same for me. I found out last Friday that a dear friend died of breast cancer.

This year my Dad was really ill and my brother's house burned down. The aftermath of both of these events has been really tough.

A lot of people just don't understand the difficulties that so many face all year long that can affect their not wanting to dance and laugh around the holidays. I am mostly glad when all this is over.

brother in law died last Saturday....my aunt yesterday....get to bring my kid to yet another funeral straight from jail....he had to come to my moms funeral in cuffs.....this time he wont have cuffs

 

oh man Rolling, that sucks. my condolences. its so much harder when the loss is near the holidays. hubby lost his grandfather on mother's day 2 years ago, and his mother just before thanksgiving that same year. he wont deal with it in any way. and every loss effects every person differently. no matter what time of year the family holidays dredge up the memories and the might-have-beens. most people have experienced loss, you would think people would be kinder and gentler when they all suffer. but everyone is made to think they suffer alone. no wonder everyone is so angry, so rushed to fill the gaping wounds with shiny gifts that have no meaning.

for me, every good thing is tainted. every joy. every smile. every accomplishment and struggle of my living son is warped by the loss of his twin. i will never outrun it.

Orison my brotha, you should appeal no harm in trying. And you haven't considered moving to a dif town?

One of my good buddies who served in the marines, two tours of duty in Afghanistan and one I believe Iraq amongst a lot of other stuff, actually from camp hill,pa, kinda close to you orison, died by his own hand due to his PTSD, he was one of the most amazing people I've met. Smile that lit the room. He passed about 8 days ago and nope I can't make funeral. It's awful. I don't really know how I deal with loss I kinda keep it inside. I am chilling again after playing sharades, idk if anyone knows tht game, wa a lot of fun. Sometimes I worry I post too much blah blah and personal stuff here but I guess it's a way to get it out there....

Still pretty tipsy, just had more food, turkey sandwiches with loads of other stuff. I am laying on my bed, bout to go play with my goddaughter/cousin some more. She lights up my life. Hope you all can stay in decent spirits!

my son had seconds of my xmas dinne....he hasn't asked for seconds of my cooking since before he got stabbed 4 yrs ago.....it all turned out pefect.....even though I was juggling the one good pot I have

I fucked up and used my good pot for fudge....made it useless for cooking potatoes cause it had burnt sugar on the bottom

 

id rather peal off social workers face and make him eat it.

try a little vinegar and set it to boil, then baking soda to scrub it out.
hubby still has noclue what pans should be used for what foods. he tried to brown meat in my small egg pan the other day, and had it on the stove with nothing in it, heating up. ugh. even when he cooks i have to do half the work to keep the kitchen from becoming a disaster area.
