After my acid trip, i remeber the day after...I felt acid was some futuristic drug that could start a futuristic revolution lol, while on it though i felt i got my own personal look into the sixties...That night changed the course of my life drastically, then again what night doesnt? lol
after my trip i took away phish and floyd as being the holiest of all holy and some other spiritual mumbo jumbo jk that was the best part
It reallh upsets me that you think its wrong to have wanted to be in the 60's. look at what we have now today War, Global Warming, an economic depression, Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy.., America... Humanity....I have one question, WHAT HAPPENED! i can understand what you mean by this generation has its ups but it sure as hell has so many downs. Just a Bonus for the 60's they didnt have aids either... cant even have sex without being scared nowadays...
you should live in the present moment is what i'm trying to say. i mean how differently would you really act if you were in the 60s? why not live that way now? happiness is subjective. i don't know why a person should want to live in a time that is not their own. the present moment is all that matters. we have so many gifts that they just didn't have back then. communism has fallen, the world is no longer divided. there is no longer fear of being drafted. we have ECSTACY! we have smaller festivals with great vibes(do you really think woodstock had a positive vibe all the time? ugh i bet it was fucking chaotic). we have mushrooms! we have DMT! and tons of other synthesised psychedelics.
Dang Well i never thought of it like that.. yea i guess we do have things like that. plus i would say Monster Massive and EDC are like woodstocks of today
The 60s were crazy no doubt about it, and for the record I guess I prefer Hendrix, although am not terribly fond of either. But I agree with Desos, I'm very happy to be alive now and I think that people glorify the 60s and 70s too much. The spirit of those decades is still alive, you just have to hang out with the right people. And there's still great music around today, it's just not in the mainstream anymore like it was in the 60s and 70s. You actually have to be interested enough in music to search for it! I always get really upset when people say there's no good music around today, it's as if they're just content with what's been given in the past and don't even take the time to find the artists that are truly making amazing music! Sorry, rant over!
