I think offering an ongoing historical perspective chronicling what some modern-day protest pioneers did might impart some appreciation on regular folks for what's going on now- perhaps emboldening a few to join. Overwhelming numbers will enhance the odds that something meaningful comes of all this.

Yes, it's time we revisited the 60s and finish up what we started then...

We took our eye off the ball and now it's going to be more difficult to set things right, but it can be done!

    Keep the Faith!

Yesterday I posted this article on Hippy.com. It's worth reading as it is one of the greatest speeches in US History. I wish there were a video! You can click on the audio link in the article, but it requires Real Player...

    http://hippy.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=386

This is just one of the great quotes from this 1968 speech:
to update that quote to today's situation...
No matter how hard you work in America, (unless you are part of the 1% who never work) YOU ARE STILL A SLAVE, YOU ARE STILL A SLAVE, YOU ARE STILL A SLAVE.

I'd been holding off on posting some of the more inflammatory historical pieces from the 1960s, but maybe the time has finally come to post them up. On second thought, I'll wait. But if I see more brutality coming from the police, I will post 'em up! Some of them I don't see anywhere on the web, so it ought to be interesting.

Here's a letter from an American "Terrorist" from 1970. Please tell me how things have changed in the past 40 years...

Note: This letter from Revolutionary Force 9, was mailed to UPI and postmarked one hour before three NYC buildings were bombed.

While I don't agree with their tactics (bombings), I do agree with their message.

I just researched this, cause I couldn't remember way back what happened, but Revolutionary Force 9 struck at the three corporations headquarters in NYC with fertilizer bombs which caused significant property damage, but no one was injured as advance warning was given and the buildings were evacuated.

    Bang those drums!!!

It's interesting to note the nearly complete lack of police presence in Toronto vs. the huge police presence in NYC!

Hey Tom I see you chatting there! ;)

The police in Toronto deserve respect at this time....

After the G20... we feared the worst... They are acting with honor and decency this time....

If you are so closed minded that you can't read something good, without trashing it, you have serious problems....

I did not say CNN was good, I did not say the reporter was good... I said it was a pretty good story.

Trolling here will turn out very badly for you.

Evil bunny has a point. It's amazing how the 1% has infiltrated every MSM as well as our government. I don't see this as a troll.

Thank you for reporting on her background, of which I was unaware. So everyone should take what she says with a ton of salt. It's easy to see who she represents, and certainly not an unbiased POV. She is engaged to Citigroup executive David Rubulotta.

'The War You Don't See.' A film that is a MUST for all to see. Exposes our country and the methods and the reasons "they"use to sell war to the masses. One of the most important films ever made. If someone can find it and put it up here--it's a game changer for anyone with a brain that defends this countrys actions.

there was something on our national news last night about occupiers camping out at some famous church in your general area and they cancelled sunday services because of it...just so you know you,re making news here (although it seemed more like the story was reporting inconvenience to churchgoers than actual occupying news)
