I love the Chambers Brothers! I got to see what was left of them a couple of years ago in SF. This song never sounded so good as it did then... :0)
Welcome to Your Nightmare, One Percent! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dR-9ytZpMk"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dR-9ytZpMk
There is a mass protest going on right now that I am sure most of you have heard about by now. It started in New York with people protesting corporate greed and the influence of the 1% over the rest of us. This movement has spread across the country to several major cities and is showing no sign of slowing down. There is so much about our country that needs to be fixed. This movement is finally giving us an opportunity to do just that. It is, hopefully, the awakening of The People we have been waiting for and could very well be the catalyst required to bring about serious change. The goals of this movement are somewhat unclear at this point, but that is a good thing. Many , many people feel that our country is on the wrong track and our governmnet no longer listens to The People. The first step has always been to wake the masses and they are finally shaking off the governmnet induced coma they have been in for a very long time. Lets do it, ladies and gentleman. Lets not waste this opportunity. No more complaining. The time for action is now. Flood the streets of your city and demand change. This protest is, of course, not receiving very much coverage in the mainstream media which is why we need to spread the word. Attend protests, volunteer, if you cant make it out then donate, but at the very least spread the word. If there is not a movement in your city yet, start one... We can use these forums as a way to organize and share ideas. I am in Dallas and tomorrow is the beginning of Occupy Dallas. For more info go to http://occupydallas.org/ We The People Demand Change
There are an estimated 30 Thousand people marching in New York right now! http://www.livestream.com/globalrevolution
I think the NYPD is freaking out a little. I just saw a heard of mounted police galloping around a street corner! http://www.livestream.com/globalrevolution
Quote from a livestream moderators and people on the ground: "they do not have 40k people kettled, they managed to round off a smaller portion of the tail end of the march again, as they have been doing." "Reports of Pepper Spray being deployed." "At least 100 arrests." "We believe some people marched to Wall St. and the police aren't very happy about it." " A little tussle with police. SOME PEOPLE GOT HIT WITH BATONS. SOME PEOPLE GOT MACED IN THE FACE." "I Fell Down With The Help Of The Police and Got A Little Mace In The Face."
it's time... finally, media coverage-occuring after the police got their props/arrests. law enforcment relies on a show of 'power'. support to those protesting corporate greed and the illusion of 'government'.
There is one in Dallas tomorrow too. occupydallas.org The beast that is The People opens one weary eye. This can be the beginning if we choose...
A group of 200 marchers just left the plaza for a new march. It's nucking futs, with more arrests happening.
They are streaming video from inside a paddy wagon after a media team was arrested http://www.livestream.com/globalrevolution
Watching a video made in a paddywagon. One man beat with baton on his back; his glasses broken. Another man kicked in the face with police boot; his nose is busted his glasses are broken. (I'm crying watching this.)

Another video...Videographer states he was thrown to the ground, "night sticked" and maced just for documenting the brutality and arrests.
