Just returned from occupy Buffalo, despite rain and wind the protest are going great. So far the only eviction notice we got was supposed to happen tonight at ten, but its bullshit our permit goes until ten tomorrow. The state, county, and city police have all told the mayor that they have no problem with us and they do not want us evicted. The various police and firemen union both are going to be represented at tomorrows general assembly. Most of the police that pass us at the protest wave or beep. Very strange, the cops have been my sworn enemy for the last 30 years or so, now I find us on the same side in this movement. But I guess these are strange times and will only get stranger as this movement continues.
im waiting to see how big this gets before i jump in.with all the anger i have built up it might be a good idea to wait for it to get ugly.cuz i will fight if i have to.
i would not trust them!they are good at making people think they are thier friends and come up with a bullshit story to put those same people in jail.
I dont trust them, thats why its so weird. But they are being told by their unions to support us. Other wise Im sure they would of been cracking some hippy skulls a few days ago. But as for now their just a budget cut away from joining us, so for now it benefits both both of us to get along, like I said stange times these are.
as i understand it the only type of union you want involved in this is the people. there is plenty of information for them to pick up.all they need is the who, what, where and when.they will come up with the why on thier own
thats one problem- they will do everything to influence, hijack and infiltrate the movement- the even bigger problem is to resist to all kinds of threats and corruption once in power. If one compares that to the french revolution- there thousands of capitalists had to be decapitated- now with a worldwide capitalism it will take much more effort than that...
Thats why everything we do has to be completely transparent. There is no talk of anything incriminating, in fact the only time there is discussion is in a group, everyone is welcome to listen or speak in turn. Everyone in the core of these protest are very aware of the lengths the system will go to to stop us. As for union support, they have been attending protest on Wall St. for several weeks.Tomorrow is a large day of protest and anyone is invited to express any concerns they may have, including union workers. Everyone is aware of the dangers of involving unions in the protest and I do not think they would have much chance derailing the movement.
Wow. You people have got to see this. Look at the 1:40 mark when a white shirt policeman punches a woman in the head. Edit: I have since been told that the person who was punched was a male with long hair. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZcJ31g0ScQ&feature=youtu.be
I don't see that. The policeman who punches the woman is just wearing a cap. Maybe you didn't look at the right place in the video. The woman who was punched was wearing a bright green vest.
I see an officer in uniform getting assaulted by a woman and swinging a reflex punch the same as I would in the situation if you don't see her swing first then you're not looking close enough or your mind doesn't want to see it....any jury of reasonable people would see it pay close attention to her right arm just as she comes into view...right before the cop reacts
What I see is a woman who is backing away from a cop who is barging at her, who then takes a massive swing at her. Any man who would swing at a woman like that, is a piece of shit.
thats the one..at 1:40 in the video...where the lady in green hits the uniformed officer with the police hat...I also see a badge displayed on his left breast area...and he is also carrying a police baton which he quickly pulls out in defence but yea..I guess if your mind is closed all you will see is a "cap"
I looked closely at the video and honestly couldn't see whether or not the woman hit the officer first. There appeared to be some sort of confrontation prior to his hitting her but it was difficult to see what the nature of that was.
I've viewed this at least 2 dozen times and I do not see the woman punch the policeman. I see her arms bent in front of her and moving in front of her as she is being backed up by the policeman just before he punches her in the head.
