I was under the impression that it was mainly starch. Seems like minerals and other stuff would probably make snorting them extremely harsh. It would also complicate ODes. Starch, cellulose, sucrose, lactose are some of the more common according to wiki.
Yeah, I remember reading a box that had lactose as one of the inactive though. So I know wiki doesn't lie about that one. I still believe starch is the most popular.
Found this while wasting time on Google... OxyContin® Is Filled With Junk Removing the oxycodone from OxyContin® is going to be difficult because of all the garbage in these pills. Let me quote from the 55th Edition PDR (2001) in describing OxyContin®: The tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: ammonio methacrylate copolymer, hydrooxypropyl methylcellulose, lactose, magnesium stearate, povidone, red iron oxide (20 mg strength tablet only), stearyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide, triacetin, yellow iron oxide (40 mg strength tablet only), yellow iron oxide with FD&C blue No. 2 (160 mg strength tablet only) and other ingredients. Compare this to the same PDR's description of Roxicodone™ a 5 mg immediate-release oxycodone tablet: The tablets contain microcrystalline cellulose and stearic acid. The difference is not only because OxyContin® is time-released. OxyContin® is made by Purdue Pharma L.P. Their immediate-release oxycodone has a lot of junk in it that Roxane Laboratories, Inc. doesn't have in Roxicodone™. But it doesn't matter because Roxane doesn't make OxyContin®.
Licking the coating off is way faster than trying to scrap it off. and for all you that have to account for every micro mg, if you scrape it off you could also scrape off a little oxy with it.. A big no-no for all you that care so dam much about how other people waste there pills..LOL You all know who you are..
Yeah, I don't know where this conversation went from when people kept saying to not to boil oxycontin. You wont lose any, just boiling it brings all of the fillers to the surface to make it so your not pulling liquid through some thick gunk. Roxies on the other hand, just put in water and stir, tastey treats.
this is most defintly NOT a faster way to do it. plus you scrape parts of the actual pill off by doin it this way. and you dont get the pill wet.. your just getting the coating softend. try it sometime i think youll find it alot easier.
First off, don't even bother snorting it. Just cut chew the pill and swallow. It's a pill after all. You only get 50-60% bioavailability when you snort it as opposed to getting 70-80% bioavailability when you taken orally. Second, oxycontin is pure oxycodone so cutting it would make it less safe, adding unknowns to the equation.
