the problems with universal healthcare is that if everyone gets universal coverage then everyone gets equal treatment..and ppl who pur theyre health second to eatting will then get regular checkups so there maybe a harder time for the elite to get apointments for nose jobs tummy tucks and breast implants

if socialism means putting the good of all people above the good of the rich and vain then i'm all for it
but i doint see how its socialist when the magotirty of democratic countries are starting to adopt it

I'm not very informed about all the US stuff goin on, but I'm also happy that Obama won, mainly 'cause he seems to be the best choice out of all. McCain is like, wtf? seems to be worse than bush.

Although I think that alot of him as people see right now is hype hype hype. Politricks...they're all roughly the same in my eyes, Obama just has what the 'new world' with the rapid expansion of consciousnesses wants to hear. Everything he says is like music to peoples ears after 8 years with a powerhungry monkey. But that probably sounds a bit pessimistic, actually i think it's a great step ahead in alot of ways. But politicians will still be politicians, lets just hope he wont disappoint.

Not gonna bring out conspiracy theories or anything, but the people who get the spotlight and hit the 'mainstream' are likely just puppets for something bigger anyway.

I don't want their health care as I don't take medicine or believe in 90% of the surgeries. I don't want to pay taxes on public schools as I don't have kids and wouldn't send them their either because now they mandate vaccines. I don't want to pay their social security because it's failing and I don't want to trust the government. I don't want to pay welfare tax as I have never taken out welfare and don't plan to. So... why should I be forced to pay all these social taxes so lazy helpless people with too many kids can get handouts all their lives? If the far left like o'bama have their way all of what said will become a reality but most of it already is! We can thank the far left FDR for that and the federal reserve which is crippling the economy.

Your not very politically informed. They aren't going to tax the elite or the wealthy. They are simply taxing the middle class small to medium size business that are keeping the country together. You think by taxing 250,000 an up is rich? Ha. Their is a cap, at like $400,000 that get the tax breaks that currently in place. This rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Granted I don't want a lot of money I hate it but it's not hard to pull 1/4 million in business in a year if you know what your doing. These taxes will force employers to cut back and layoff people. Businesses all over reviewing O'bama's tax plan and have said publicly they will lay people off under their would be new budgets. Maybe it won't get their off, I hope not but taxing the middle class is killing the country. You think O'bama's tax bracket is getting increased? Please.

How much money do you think Dear Leader O'bama has? Let's take his money from him and all his friends like Barnie Frank and Fannie Mac and some from that 800 Billion dollar corporate ballout and and redistribute that to the public? I'm all for it. But taking money from small business owners who in the end don't make more 40-100 thousand of their hard earned dollars. It shouldn't be a crime to make a lot of money. I don't want it BUT I am not going to stop those that do.

SE you make my point to easy. Why don't I have more money at the end of the week. Why do we have to work 3 jobs, 80 hours a week to survive? I'll start by saying I would be A LOT better off if I didn't have to pay a federal income tax, social security tax, public school tax and medicare/medicaid tax that take up to 30% of check each week for shit I don't want any part of.

IT SHOULD BE THE RIGHT OF EACH INDIVIDUAL TO CHOOSE IF THEY WANT THEIR GOVERNMENT TO MANAGE THEIR LIFE, MONEY, HEALTH, AND EDUCATION.

What if everyone suddenly got free hair cuts but was funded by taxing the people. Well we all know you haven't had a hair cut in 18+ years and you won't ever get one. But your a part of the "people" and you aren't except because you choose not to use the service. Wouldn't it be unfair to tax you for a service a large majority would use? I didn't say all people on welfare are lazy and you missed my point completely. Extreme? These new radical ideologies are extreme. Everything I said goes back to the constitution. And I didn't say we didn't need these programs. I just don't think you should expect me, as a tax payer, to take care of YOU the single mother. Not to say you didn't need help and I actually found it great b what you said. Not to many people can say that. That's admirable. But just people people have money doesn't mean we should patronize them. And I am compassionate, I just think everyone should have a choice whether the government runs our lives or not. How does the government run our lives? Granted there are obvious rules and boundaries in place to maintain societal order....and programs designed to help boost the economy by helping those in need get back onto their feet....but how is that running anybodys life? If anything it betters it. Taxes are mandatory to keep society afloat. Tax money goes into creating everything thats around you. If programs were not around to help those in need through tax paying dollars...then single moms like me that you once helped support would be raising children [who by the way are YOUR future] with little to no education, no healthcare, and no help. They would grow up extremely dysfunctional and rob or kill you and destroy the future of America! Dont you see how important tax money is? It sustains our longevity and future as a great nation! Everybody contributes to the greater cause! I highly respect people who have worked extremely hard there whole lives and now have millions to show for it....I do. But I do think, with the amount of suffering in this world that some accountability needs to be paid on a humane level to those less fortunate. I think if your rich and worked hard to get there...than bravo....you deserve it! However, i would also think that it would come naturally to want to help those in need. I think higher taxes should be enforced on those who make over a certain quota....it betters the country as a whole!
