As far as the unemployment rate, there is this:

    Global Research, May 9, 2012
    World Socialist Web Site
    _____________________________________________________________
On Tuesday, US President Barack Obama made his first speech on economic policy since the official start of his reelection campaign, calling on Congress to enact a list of corporate handouts in the name of “creating jobs.”

Obama kicked off his proposals with a right-wing tribute to the profit system, repeating his mantra that “the true engine of job creation in this country is the private sector; it’s not Washington.”

The entire speech was built on the assertion that government spending is not a legitimate means of putting people to work. He even went as far as to boast that the period of his administration was “the only time that government employment has gone down during a recession.”

The speech comes four days after the Labor Department announced that the US economy added only 115,000 jobs in April, significantly less than the amount needed to keep up with population growth.

The jobs report paints a bleak picture. The official unemployment rate fell, but only due to the fact that hundreds of thousands of workers left the labor force. There are 12.5 million people who are officially unemployed in the United States, 5.5 million more than there were five years ago. The average duration of unemployment is 39.1 weeks, more than double what it was in 2006.

Meanwhile, as a result of legislation signed by Obama earlier this year, hundreds of thousands of people are being thrown off unemployment rolls due to the expiration of extended federal benefits. In California alone, 93,000 workers will lose benefits on Saturday.

Yeah, it's both sad and humorous when someone asks me which illusion I'm going to vote for.

I was never paid to help the Obama campaign. I actually donated 4600.00 the last election time in 2008. However, i am not totally happy with him and i haven't donated anything this time. I am a vietnam veteran living in the country in central Pa taking care of my 89 yr old mother.

*Sarcasm* oh yay! Obama's forcing Americans to buy something they don't want.

The medical industry has become a money making racket. Doctors don't "heal" anyone. If they heal you, they'd have no one to sell their pills to!!

They sell prescriptions. And yes, that's the industry. Medicine companies actually go to different doctors and give them notebooks and pens, so they'll prescribe their meds.

Drug reps give them more than pens and note pads... believe me. Also a drug rep has no medical background,(trained by the drug manufacture) they are salesmen (and women) They have gotten to the point of telling the doctors total bullshit about the drugs they are doling out and the docs don't even read the dosing guides anymore, they just go by what the drug reps tell them. (go back to my total bullshit statement above)

    Don't get me started...

    Oh! you just did!

The President has kept us safe from terrorist attack during his term.

This line was a big selling point back in the 2004 election,

It is not heard now; shame, cause its true

The President's own party seems indiferent, is there a better way to express this feeling?

The Presidents opponents; the party of defence seem stingy with credit to President Obama on thier own issues.

The President kept open the detention facility in Guantanmo

and the Drones are keeping al Queda on the back of thier heels.

All kinds of expensive new Defense toys are being rolled out including a new robot space plane that jut landed after orbiting for 450 days.

There is a post on here about a huge new Defense/ intelligence command center, under a mountain, somewhere out West.

Rebublicans can offer no complaint about The President's defense posture.

Yet, Mr Obama has kept us away from Syria!

So come on Chris Matthews and Andrea Mitchell, Rachell Meadow and Candy Crowley where is some love for Our President about keeping us safe!
