Yes, you know, the ones who oppose control ,legislation ,regulation , and government coercion. Or say they do, anyway.

But if they're not the ones who support legal nudity, who does?

This is what I said ...

There are a few surprising pockets of liberal thinking, however. Here in Tucson, if you live near the university, like I do, people are a lot more liberal. Also, the little town of Bisbee, southeast of Tucson, is kinda like our own little Berkeley.

I was simply describing the situation in some cities in my state. If you consider that to be a "left-wing diatribe", I'd say you're way overly sensitive.

It's too bad that these threads can't go more than about five posts before someone feels the need to go off on some political tangent.

Just a reminder that so called "liberal" politics do not ensure nudists the Liberty that we are entitled to.

I said nothing about politics. You did.

And I don't need any "reminders" from you.

Oh really? Bezerkly is a hot-bed of left wing non-sense. In spite of their boisterous mantra the left has done nothing to ensure 1st Amendment Rights to nudists. Liberals need to be called out on this hypocracy. No, not a personal reminder , granny , just letting you know that the "kumbaya" crowd does nothing for Personal Freedom and Liberty.

It's uneven and imperfect, but in fact there is a link between political liberalism, as in Vermont and Oregon, and tolerance of nudity. As granny_longerhair said, that can also apply to liberal islands in the conservative sea, like college towns--Austin Texas is another one.

Now the real question about "hypocracy" is why the small-government advocates like the Tea Party people aren't likely to tolerate nudity any more than the big-government people do. If freedom is what they're all about, shouldn't they be letting people do what they want?

Perhaps our answer would be in definition. How do you define liberal? Would this definition have anything to do with the scope of government control? How firmly do you grip the Constitution? Would that make you liberal or Conservative? Right or left?

    Yes, really.

Why do you insist on taking a perfect nice thread about conditions in different states and turning it into some kind of weird political vendetta?

Never mind. I don't really care.

Oh, some people just see the word "liberal" and it's like waving a china shop in front of a bull. And Granny, you used it twice in a short paragraph! Of course he couldn't help himself.
