if I cheated on someone I would take whatever they gave me
it's one of the top worst things you can do to someone
I would hope to have the same respect returned to me

and as I said, I don't condone violence, especially domestic violence, but if I was sitting there in a serious relationship and the girl broke my heart by cheating on me and tried a measly excuse like 'well I didn't know', I'm pretty sure anger would take full effect.
I would feel shitty about it afterwards I am sure, but I guess then we would be in the same boat =P
