Thats what all the throuble in Ireland is about ppl just cant get on with one another . live and let live...
There's no getting round the fact that the problems in Northern Ireland are a legacy of centuries of British Imperialism and Protestant dominance: the province was artificially constructed from 6 of the 9 counties of Ulster where the Protestants were in the majority, and discrimination against Catholics was institutionalised. It's largely forgotten nowadays that the reason the Army was put on the streets in the 60s was to protect Catholics from Loyalist mobs who were driving them out of their homes. Sadly "mission creep" quickly set in with a vengeance.
